CHANGE: CBS News Reporter Went to the Border and Didn’t See a Single Illegal Immigrant or Asylum Seeker (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

CBS News reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez recently traveled to the southern border and didn’t see anyone trying to cross the border. No illegal immigrants and no supposed asylum seekers. Imagine that.

In a matter of several weeks, President Trump has completely changed what’s happening at our (now finally closed) southern border.

In this clip from CBS Mornings, the two other hosts on the set with him seem almost sad that this is happening.

    From Real Clear Politics:

CBS’s Camilo Montoya-Galvez reported that during a trip to the US-Mexico border this week, he “did not see a single migrant or asylum-seeker” over the course of four hours.

“Typically, when you go to the border, you will see groups of people who are trying to cross into the US, but we did not see a single migrant,” he reported.

“Just feet away from Mexico, our cameras captured a heavily fortified US border,” he reported.

“Activity is very slow. There are multiple factors to why we have seen a significant drop in apprehensions recently,” a border patrol agent told CBS. “One of them of course is consequences.”

This video is cued to start at the 2:50 mark, so just press play:

As the Gateway Pundit recently reported, border encounters are way down under Trump:

Border encounters reached an all-time low in February under President Trump, with just over 8,000 encounters as illegal aliens are actually deterred from attempting to cross our borders illegally.

This is a massive upgrade from Border Czar Kamala Harris, who helped oversee the largest invasion of the United States in history, telling illegals “don’t come.”

The number of encounters in February 2025 represents a 94% decrease from the 140,641 illegals encountered at the Border under Biden and Harris last February.

During President Trump’s first term, the US recorded its lowest number of illegal aliens entering the country in 47 years. Only 310,000 made it across the border in 2017. In contrast, over 300,000 illegals crossed our border in December 2023 alone — nearly as many as in Trump’s first year in office.

Trump has delivered on his promises to protect the border and he did it in record time.
