King claims her possessions were moved to storage without her consent and that she has been forced to cover Allman’s phone expenses.

The drama follows Cher’s 2023 conservatorship filing over Elijah Blue Allman, citing mental health and substance abuse struggles, which was dismissed in 2024.

Cher and her son, Elijah Blue Allman, are facing allegations from his estranged wife, Marieangela King, over access to her personal belongings.

On November 19, King filed a court motion, obtained by the National Enquirer, claiming that her “belongings and the furniture from the marital home were packed and moved” without her knowledge or consent. She said the items were eventually stored in units controlled by Allman and Cher.

King alleges that despite repeated requests to retrieve her belongings, Allman either ignored her or directed her to Cher’s personal assistant, Deb Paull, who, along with another assistant, allegedly oversees the “household logistics.”

“I am deeply concerned that the contents of the storage units could be lost, auctioned, or otherwise disposed of without my knowledge,” King stated, emphasizing that many of the possessions hold “financial and emotional value that cannot be replaced.”

“The secrecy surrounding these units and the continued denial of access leave me with no choice but to seek immediate court intervention,” she added.

King also raised issues regarding shared cell phone accounts, claiming she has been forced to cover costs for Allman’s line to maintain her own.

“The continued instability and forced dependence on Respondent for something as essential as a phone line is harmful, inappropriate, and unsustainable,” she wrote in her filing.

King filed for divorce from Allman in April, ending their 13-year marriage and citing “irreconcilable differences.”

In an August 8 court filing, she alleged, “I have not received any payments from Respondent. To my knowledge, he is staying at an expensive hotel and ignoring his obligations.”

An insider told the publication that despite Allman’s troubles, Cher, estimated to be worth $360 million, is likely to assist her son.

“It’ll be a big test of Cher’s resolve, since the last thing she wants is to hand over a dime to this woman, via Elijah or otherwise,” the source said. “But at the end of the day, he is her flesh and blood, and she has a long history of bailing him out.”

Cher’s Conservatorship Battle Over Son Elijah Blue Allman Highlights Decades-Long Struggles With Substance Abuse

The family drama first escalated after Cher, 79, filed for conservatorship over Allman in 2023, claiming he was unable to “substantially manage his own financial resources” due to serious mental health and substance abuse struggles.

The pop icon also alleged that King was a negative influence and obstructed her efforts to get her son help.

King, meanwhile, accused Cher of hiring men to forcibly send Elijah to rehab, a claim the singer denied. The conservatorship was ultimately dismissed in September 2024.

Allman, whose father was the late Southern rock star Gregg Allman, has battled substance use since childhood.

In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed he began using drugs at age 11 and recounted moments of “some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality.”

In June, King publicly addressed reports of Allman’s overdose in Joshua Tree, California, which TMZ reported had hospitalized him.

She told People Magazine, “While it is true that Elijah has faced personal challenges in the past, one constant has been his unwavering commitment to sobriety and his loyalty to those he loves.”

King added: “Like many, he continues to confront his inner struggles — but it is important to recognize that he does so from a place of strength, not defeat. I want to state, without hesitation, that I will always root for him. My support is steadfast and comes from a place of deep respect for the person he is and the resilience he continues to show.”

Meanwhile, court documents reviewed by the National Enquirer reveal that Elijah owes King $26,000 – $16,000 in back spousal support and $10,000 in legal fees related to their divorce.
