Connor Bedard wants Patrick Kane back with the Blackhawks

Following Connor Bedard’s five-year contract extension, the young NHL star has made it public that he wants Patrick Kane to sign with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Bedard believes that Kane returning to Chicago would enhance the team’s value. Will the Blackhawks unite their star of the present with their former star of the past? The idea is certainly appealing to Bedard, who would relish playing alongside Kane as the two would be a dangerous duo for the Blackhawks.

Bedard praised Kane, stating, “I don’t know what I can say to persuade his decision, but obviously we’d all be so excited to have a player like that, but also a guy like that.”

Kane was a vital player that helped the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013 and 2015. The 37-year-old recorded 1,225 points and 446 goals and 779 assists across 1,161 regular-season games.

During his tenure in Chicago, Kane also recorded 138 points with 52 goals and 86 assists across 141 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
