Deborra-Lee Furness Is Moving On After Hugh Jackman Divorce

The star previously noted she was not interested in dating following her split from Hugh Jackman, but now seems open to reconnecting with old friends. 

Deborra-Lee Furness met Hugh Jackman on a movie set in 1995. They were married for almost three decades before announcing their separation in September 2023.

Furness may have stepped out of a 27-year marriage, but insiders say she already has someone new making her smile. Travolta has reportedly been a steady source of support for Furness as she navigates life post-Hugh Jackman.

The two have known each other for years, and now that she is single, sources say she is open to deepening that connection into something more. Those close to her believe he might be just the kind of person to help her leave the emotional toll of the past two years behind.

“If anyone can sweep Deb off her feet, it’s going to be John. She’s already swooning over him,” a source dished. RadarOnline reports that her inner circle is cheering her on, convinced she is better off without Jackman and encouraging her to move forward.

Furness’s apparent shift in attitude toward dating comes as a surprise, especially since just last month she was said to have no interest in pursuing romance.

The Blast reported that the 69-year-old was brushing off every attempt to set her up. Despite getting offers and plenty of encouragement from friends, she was not biting. 

One insider shared she was not “jaded by men, she is taking the time to heal, and she has turned down dates from some incredible guys.”

With her divorce from Jackman finally official, paperwork filed on June 12 and quietly made public on June 23, Furness appears more open to the idea of moving on. 

Furness is not keeping quiet about how she really feels when it comes to her Jackman’s new relationship. The Blast shared details from insiders who say Furness has been expressing her opinion, and it is far from optimistic. 

They claim she sees the couple as a rebound waiting to crash, pointing out that Jackman allegedly jumped into the new romance before truly processing the end of their own marriage.

Now that the pair are said to be shacking up at Jackman’s New York place, Furness is not impressed. “She’s joked to friends that she’s taking bets on how long it’ll last, and she’s putting her money on under a year,” an insider shared.

Prior to her alleged thoughts on the actor’s relationship, Furness might have divulged what really ended her decades-long marriage to Jackman.

While the former couple originally painted their 2023 split as a mutual decision rooted in “individual growth,” Furness is now pointing fingers.

The mother-of-two spoke out about betrayal in a way that left little doubt about who she was talking about. In May, The Blast highlighted points from her comments, where Furness seemed to confirm suspicions that their breakup was not as clean as it appeared.
