Sean “Diddy” Combs, 56, has reportedly been disciplined by prison officials for disruptive conduct at the federal facility where he is serving his sentence.
The penalty follows reports that the music mogul allegedly enjoyed special privileges at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, including access to a contraband cellphone, alcohol, and inmates who performed personal tasks for him.
The disciplinary action has also pushed back Sean “Diddy” Combs’ expected release date, adding another setback as he serves his 50-month sentence.
Diddy Reportedly Loses 41 Days Of Good-Conduct Time Over Prison Misconduct
According to the New York Post, Diddy was sanctioned after prison officials determined that he engaged in conduct that interfered with the security or orderly operation of the institution.
Jose Rojas, secretary of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 506, told NBC News that Diddy lost 41 days of good-conduct time.
“This is among the most serious penalties,” Rojas said, describing the punishment.
The sanction is commonly associated with violations involving contraband cellphones, which prison authorities consider a significant security threat. Such devices can allow inmates to communicate with people outside prison without monitoring and potentially coordinate prohibited activities.
“Because you can put a hit on somebody with a phone in prison,” Rojas explained.
The Rapper Was Allegedly Using A Phone To View Explicit Images Sent By An Ex

Diddy was reportedly found with access to a cellphone that he used to view Instagram and sexually explicit images sent by a former girlfriend.
The allegations formed part of a wider investigation into his reported lifestyle at Fort Dix.
Prison officials have not publicly detailed the precise conduct behind the disciplinary decision. The Bureau of Prisons declined to discuss the individual case, citing privacy, safety and security considerations.
A spokesperson for Diddy told NBC News that the defense had not received an official explanation of the disciplinary action and would not speculate about its basis.
Reports Of Diddy’s Alleged VIP Prison Lifestyle Triggered Renewed Scrutiny

The disciplinary action comes after an NBC News investigation published in late September described Diddy’s reportedly privileged lifestyle at Fort Dix.
Four inmates who had spent time in the same unit alleged that he paid other prisoners to cook meals, clean his living area, make his bed, do his laundry, and provide massages.
The report also alleged that Diddy had access to prohibited cellphones, a modified tablet, and premium liquor, including Hennessy.
Sources claimed that people outside the prison deposited money into other inmates’ commissary accounts to compensate them for services provided to the music mogul, per TMZ.
One inmate described the alleged arrangement by saying, “This is not some normal s–t you see in jail. This is some rich s–t. It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
Diddy’s spokesperson pushed back against the intense coverage, arguing that the media had portrayed ordinary aspects of prison life as extraordinary developments.
“The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Diddy’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,” the spokesperson said in a statement reported by NBC News.
The spokesperson added that Diddy remained focused on serving his sentence and awaiting the outcome of his appeal.
The Rapper Was Reportedly Moved to Solitary Confinement After the Reports Emerged

Following the publication of NBC News‘ investigation, Diddy was reportedly transferred from his regular dormitory-style accommodation to a special housing unit, commonly known as solitary confinement.
According to the media outlet, a source familiar with the situation said the move followed the reporting about his alleged access to prohibited items and special treatment. Such transfers can occur while prison authorities investigate potential rule violations.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to confirm the specific circumstances of Diddy’s confinement, citing privacy, safety, and security concerns.
The reported move was not his first time in solitary confinement at Fort Dix. Earlier in the summer, he was reportedly placed in the special housing unit following an altercation with another inmate. He was also reportedly removed from the prison’s drug treatment program.
Diddy’s Expected Release Date Moved To March 2028

The loss of good-conduct credit has reportedly delayed Diddy’s expected release from federal prison.
According to People Magazine, Bureau of Prisons records now list March 2, 2028, as his projected release date, replacing the previous date of January 21, 2028.
Federal inmates who follow institutional rules may earn up to 54 days of good-conduct credit annually, subject to eligibility and applicable regulations. Losing credit can therefore affect the amount of time an inmate is expected to serve.
As reported by The Blast, Diddy is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. A jury acquitted him of the more serious racketeering and sex-trafficking charges brought against him.
His projected release date has shifted several times since his incarceration. The latest change follows a fresh round of attention surrounding reports of his treatment and activities behind bars.
