Old clips of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs continue to resurface amid his arrest after a grand jury indictment.

In a video going viral on social media, the music mogul was asked to share what his last words would be if he were to die, and his answer has left many shocked due to the recent allegations plaguing him.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently awaiting his trial in jail after two unsuccessful attempts to secure bail.

A video of Diddy from seven years ago is circulating online and has set tongues wagging due to the rapper’s remark about his “last words.”

Diddy can be seen in the video seated at a table alongside La La Anthony and singer Usher in 2017, playing a game on Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart’s VH1 show, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.”

The three guests at the show were offered cards with words written on them and blank spaces to fill in answers.

When it was Diddy’s turn, he was handed a card that read, “When I die, I want my last words to be….”

“I did it,” he answered quickly before throwing the card in the air with a smile on his face.

Snoop Dogg, Stewart, and Anthony responded with applause to the music mogul’s answer. However, Usher, who is known to have been mentored by Diddy when he was a budding artiste, remained still with his arms crossed on the table.

Since the video went viral online, fans have shared their thoughts on it, with many claiming that the rapper was alluding to allegations currently plaguing him.

One person said on X (formerly Twitter), “Ohhhhh WOW. He even knows he did it. Why lie now.”

Another said, “You sure did, and that’s why you’re in jail, buddy.”

However, according to Page Six, few people claimed that the rapper’s words were taken out of context, with one person noting that the “I did it” meant “living the ‘American Dream’ due his wealth and status…”

A spokesperson for the rapper also talked to the news outlet about the resurfaced clip.

They said, “It’s disappointing to see the media and social commentators twist moments into something they were not. By taking video clips and photos out of context and attempting to link them to a false narrative implying inappropriate behavior is completely ridiculous.”

He Has Been Hit With A Barrage Of Lawsuits Since His Arrest

On Monday, September 16, Diddy was arrested in New York after a grand jury indictment. The rapper was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He was detained at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), where he is expected to remain until his trial in May next year. Diddy has tried on two occasions to get bail, but it has been denied because he is considered a “flight risk.”

Since Diddy’s arrest, he has also been faced with a flood of fresh lawsuits from various accusers who claim he drugged and abused them at his various parties, particularly his now-infamous white parties.

Texas lawyer Tony Buzzbee, who represents over 120 Diddy accusers, has filed multiple lawsuits in the last few days, with some of the cases involving minors.

One of the lawsuits was filed by a man who claims to have been 16 when Diddy sexually assaulted him at a white party. In another lawsuit, a woman claims she was only 13 years old when she was raped by Diddy and two other celebrities at a VMAs afterparty.

The rapper’s lawyers have called the accusations against him “outrageous and deeply prejudicial,” noting that it could prevent the rapper from getting a fair trial on his federal sex crime charges.

“Counsel for these accusers recently convened a press conference at which he claimed to represent 120 accusers making outrageous and deeply prejudicial allegations, including violent sexual assault and sexual abuse of minors,” they said in a letter to a Manhattan federal court judge, per Variety.

They also claimed it was all a “publicity stunt” because Buzbee garnered the accusers’ attention by posting a broadcast on Instagram with a “1-800” number that reportedly “received 12,000 calls in the first 24 hours.”

The attorneys added, “These swirling allegations have created a hysterical media circus that, if left unchecked, will irreparably deprive Mr. Combs of a fair trial, if they haven’t already.”

The Rapper’s Lawyers Want The Names Of His Accusers

In their letter to the Manhattan federal court judge, Diddy’s lawyers also asked that the names of his accusers in his federal case be known to help him prepare his defense for his trial.

The trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025, pending all pre-trial motions being completed on time.

According to the rapper’s legal team, having the names is important because of how “unique” the case is and how several individuals have chosen to accuse him “due to his celebrity status and wealth.”

They also claimed that the “publicity of his previously settled lawsuit” with his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura and the alleged “grand jury leaks and false, inflammatory statements by the DHS agents” played a part in the influx of allegations against the rapper.
