‘Didn’t Know I’d Fall Off As Quickly As I Did’

The viral deadpan interview queen just pulled the plug on her podcast and surprised viewers with the abrupt announcement.

Althoff shared her reasons why the time was right to end “The Really Good Podcast” explaining that she’s proud of her accomplishments, and shocked that she fell off as fast as she did. But fans want to know if this is really the end, or the start of something bigger and better.

“It lasted a minute and I’m proud of the accomplishments I have,” Althoff said as she announced the end of her podcast.

Althoff launched her podcast back in April 2023, quickly grabbing the attention of more than 30 million followers. Her final podcast had a bit of a “funeral” vibe, with Althoff and her sister both donning black dresses and dark sunglasses.

She opened the podcast by saying, “Alright guys, I don’t really think there’s any good way to say this, but this is the last episode of ‘The Really Good Podcast.'”

She went on to explain how it’s been a “dream” for two-and-a-half years, and how she’s going to put on a “little funeral for it.”

Althoff ran through a few ads, “because it pays me,” and said, “All jokes aside, all honesty, this is the last episode.” They then sang, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen.

“‘The Really Good Podcast,’ she was a great podcast. She got me this house, got me the car I drive, got me a lot of stuff. She was really great, I really appreciate her for the time I had with her,” Althoff said. “She brought me a lot of memories of a lot of great guests. She got me a few interviews taken down. At the end of the day, she was good, and I’m going to miss her.”

She said she will miss “doing the podcast” and the “money this podcast brought me.” She then threw a joke in saying, “My sister will miss having her bills paid for her.”

She then talked a little about her podcast guests.

“This podcast started off just with a girl with a dream to make more money. I knew when I started that it was gonna go places,” she said.

“I didn’t know I’d fall off as quickly as I did. To be honest, I did think this was going to last a bit longer. But nevertheless, it lasted a minute and I’m proud of the accomplishments I had and I’m pretty sad that it has to end like this but it’s okay. Everything in life happens for a reason, well most everything.”

She then took a trip down “memory lane” talking about some of the memorable guests she had on “The Really Good Podcast.”

Althoff shared a few quick clips of some interviews from the early days of the podcast. The walk down memory lane took her to her viral episode with Funny Marco.

“That interview with Marco Summers turned out to be so big, so big. Bigger than I ever could have imagined when I sat down with him,” she said.

“And that interview actually started because somebody commented and said you should do an interview with Funny Marco. That interview turned into the biggest interview ever and that interview led me to my biggest interview that really brought me into the podcasting game and then I had to delete that interview.”

She then showed a short clip from her interview with Drake.
