For most people, being naked in front of a crowd is literally their worst nightmare. For Eila Adams, it is practically second nature. The 38-year-old has spent 16 years presenting naked fitness segments, interviewing strangers topless in the street, and traveling around the world, stripping off in situations most people would never dream of.
There has been naked football, naked stand-up comedy, mechanical bull riding, camel riding and, most memorably, jumping out of a plane completely nude. After so long baring all, Adams no longer sees public nudity as embarrassing.
She told The Blast, “It’s almost like a superpower because that is so many people’s biggest fear, being naked in a crowd or in front of other people. For me it’s always just been so natural and normal that it’s like, I can do this. Look at what I can do.”
Eila Adams Has Done Almost Everything Naked
Adams joined Naked News in 2009 and has presented its fitness segment, Flex Appeal, for 16 years. She said, “I’ve done naked stand-up comedy in front of a huge crowd, naked football, naked mechanical bull riding, naked camel riding. Pretty much anything that you’ve done clothed, I’ve probably done it naked.”
The most extreme experience was skydiving. She had spent the weekend celebrating the 15th anniversary of Naked News in Chicago and arrived for the Monday jump “violently hungover”.
“I had so much adrenaline going,” she told The Blast. “I was also hungover, so I don’t think I was really paying attention to many things going on. I wasn’t gonna cancel this. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Only afterward did Adams discover the skydiving facility had previously made headlines following fatal accidents. She said, “Thank God I did not do my research beforehand, or I probably would have chickened out.”
Her next bucket-list adventure is considerably calmer: a hot-air balloon ride. Whether clothes will be involved remains undecided.
Getting Naked In Public No Longer Embarrasses Her
Adams regularly interviews members of the public topless for Naked in the Streets. “People definitely have questions, there’s lots of staring, photos, the usual,” she said.
Earlier in her career, the attention could feel awkward. Now she sees it differently. “It’s super rare to get another stranger to join me topless during these interviews,” she added. “It has happened in my career maybe five times, so it’s like a true unicorn moment. Unless, of course, I’m covering a swingers’ event or a nudist event, then people are definitely more willing to be on camera.”
That is a world Adams knows well.
Eila Adams Worked At A Swingers’ Club Before Naked News
Before joining Naked News, Adams worked at a swingers’ club in Toronto as a go-go dancer and gave guests tours of the venue. The first floor operated like a conventional nightclub, while the upper floors included spaces such as a BDSM room, hot tub area, and voyeur room.
She said, “It was fun that you could just go as a person then maybe change your mind later in the evening if you wanted to try the upstairs.”
Since then, Adams has visited nudist and swingers’ resorts in Thailand, Spain, Jamaica and Mexico. “If you’re going to a nudist resort, they are very strict about rules regarding anything sexual,” she said. “Some of these resorts will even ban body jewellery because it’s too sexual. Versus a swingers’ resort, anything goes.”
She has also met couples who have been married for decades and believes openness may be part of what keeps them together, telling The Blast, “I’ve met some couples that have been married for like 50 years and they seem so happy. I don’t know if that’s one of the keys to a happy relationship, but being open and having fun with each other definitely seems like something that’s important.”
Nudity Was Never A Big Deal In Her Family

Adams says nudity was never treated as something shameful while she was growing up. She said, “Naked News has a big naturist following. It’s not necessarily about sexualised nudity. It’s more just about nudity and being normal. That’s always how nudity was approached growing up in my house.”
Her dad and brother do not watch her work, but her mom, Robin, went much further. In 2011, Adams interviewed her naked on the show. She said, “I approached her and asked her if she wanted to do the interview and she said, ‘Sure.’ She’s always been so supportive of me.” The appearance became one of the show’s most memorable segments.
Adams later asked whether her mom would do it again. She said, “I asked her if she would do it again and she said absolutely not.”
Eila Adams Says She Has No Regrets
Adams originally studied fashion management and hoped to become a buyer for film and television. But around a month after graduating, Naked News offered her a job. She never looked back.
She said, “No regrets. I was never a person who could work a nine-to-five type thing, or even having a boss is challenging sometimes. So I prefer to be my own boss.”
Today, alongside presenting, Adams runs her own adult content business. What frustrates her most is the assumption that women only enter adult work because something bad happened to them. She said, “For some reason, that’s what people automatically assume. Like, you have daddy issues or something happened to you when you were a kid that made you this way. No. It’s a completely normal industry. There’s nothing wrong with me.”
After 16 years of naked workouts, wild assignments, and stripping off in front of strangers, Adams seems more interested in enjoying her choices than defending them.
For her, clothes are optional. Confidence is not.
