Firefighter arrests: ‘Outraged’ | The Seattle Times

Re: “Federal agents arrest 2 on crew battling the state’s largest blaze” (Aug. 28, A1) and “Inside the fight to slow the Bear Gulch fire” (Aug. 24, A1):

Days after the story on the heroic crews working on the Bear Gulch Fire, there is a story about how some of these heroes were arrested by federal law enforcement agents.

As an Olympic Peninsula resident, I am outraged. I’d rather have my tax dollars pay for firefighting than for U.S. Border Patrol agents to arrest firefighters.

    Carole Scholl, Port Angeles
