    Re: “Trump Called a Canadian Ad Fake. It Faithfully Reproduces Reagan’s Words.” (Oct. 24, Nation & World):

    Not only did Ronald Reagan speak against tariffs as pointed out in the article, but as president he gave legal status to 3 million people in the U.S. illegally and raised taxes after the deficit increased from his tax cuts, and as California governor he signed the most permissive abortion law in the country at that time.

    The Republican Party has changed tremendously in the last 40 years. For any one of these reasons Reagan would not last 5 minutes as a Republican today, he would be ousted as a RINO.
