Re: “Trump administration’s $1B deal to stop offshore wind shows an evolution in its anti-wind strategy” (March 24, Business):
The article describes a new attack on Americans. Instead of pursuing efforts to provide Americans with clean, plentiful and affordable energy, the Trump administration continues its spiteful attacks on what are already the most affordable and clean ways to produce electricity: solar and wind energy.
In addition, after starting a very costly, in lives as well as money, war of choice in Iran, the administration is wastefully spending taxpayers’ dollars ($1 billion), this time on a payout to a French energy company. This is an insult to Americans who are denied affordable health care and Medicaid support and who are struggling to pay their always increasing rent.
All these efforts from the Trump administration against clean and affordable energies will be unsuccessful in the end. Market laws and common sense will prevail. But one very sad thing is obvious: The current administration keeps actively working against the needs and interests of the American people, instead of serving them.
