Heidi Montag has opened up about how she felt after losing valuable items in the Los Angeles fires that burned down her and her husband Spencer Pratt‘s home.

Montag and Pratt were among the many celebrities and homeowners who lost their homes in the devastating wildfires that ravaged LA.

The couple has received support from fans after losing their home and recently sued the city of Los Angeles over their role in the inferno.

Montag is reflecting on her losses in the Los Angeles wildfires. In an interview with Vogue, which was published on Monday, the reality TV star expressed her feelings about losing her clothes.

She said, “You know, I’m very conflicted with it. It sounds silly, but I was so sad about losing my clothes.”

Montag added, “They’re just things, but they’re things that I spent 15 to 20 years collecting. Things I wore to a special place, with special people.”

The 38-year-old admitted that she lost many things she couldn’t replace, including shoes she “perfectly curated, like a pair of black pumps or boots.”

She said, “I keep telling myself, I rented them in this life!”

Despite buying some new items that made her feel much better, Montag continues to reminisce about what she lost.

She said, “I went to Marshalls the other day and I bought a bunch of discounted sweaters. They’re good quality, about $20, but they make me feel so much better. I’m still looking back at TikToks and seeing, like, a sweater I wore and reminiscing.”

Montag, who always feels better when she does makeup, revealed her plans to start a charity offering hair and beauty services for people who lost everything in the wildfires.

She said, “I was so thrilled to see all these companies doing donation drives. It makes a big difference to how people feel and giving them some dignity. A bit of makeup can be so powerful! My bag of Patrick Ta, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, makes me feel grounded in myself.”

The television personality added, “I would love to create or support a charity for people who lost everything and do hair and make-up, to help people feel more like themselves.”

After losing their home in the Los Angeles inferno, Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, who were previously stars of the MTV reality show “The Hills,” from 2006 to 2010, said they were seeking a new TV deal for a reality TV show.

The couple expressed their readiness to let the cameras back into their lives and show how they and their neighbors were rebuilding following the fires.

When asked if they would consider another reality TV show, Montag, who was joined by Pratt for her interview with Vogue, told the outlet, “Well, you never know…It’s Hollywood.”

She added, “There’s always something. We’re ready for it. We’d hope to even do something about rebuilding the town and showing our community. But I’m also balancing the music, being a mom.”

    Fans Support Montag And Pratt

Montag and Pratt, who are parents to sons Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 2, have received massive support from fans on social media since losing their $2.5 million home in the fires.

Fans heeded Pratt’s call for them to stream his wife’s music to help her earn money through streaming revenue. Also, two TikTokers created a GoFundMe to help the couple rebuild.

However, they received backlash online, with some saying that the money should be given to everyday people rather than a “rich celebrity.”

Pratt responded to the backlash in a chat with Us Weekly, saying he wasn’t “bothered” by the criticism because he is “very used to negative things.”

He added, “If people want to send their own money to whoever they want, it’s the equivalent to buying a celebrity’s merch, buying their movie tickets.”

Pratt also said, “People can do whatever they want with their own money and, thank God, there’s people who want to support and send us whatever.”

“Nobody’s required to, and it’s not a tax. People can say whatever they want and they’re entitled to their opinion. But, all the people that are messaging, they’re asking to send money, they’re asking to do the Amazon wishlist,” he continued. “These are their choices.”

Montag And Pratt Sue The City Of LA

Pratt and Montag sued the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for negligence after a wildfire damaged their property.

They claim the LADWP failed to maintain an adequate water supply by delaying repairs to the Santa Ynez Reservoir, leaving it empty for nearly a year.

Twenty other property owners joined the couple in claiming this decision prioritized contractor bids over public safety, worsening the fire’s impact.
