Hugh Jackman brought the house down at Radio City Music Hall this weekend, but not before playfully calling out his buddy Ryan Reynolds in front of a roaring crowd.

During his performance of “From New York, With Love” on Friday night, the “Greatest Showman” star joked about one “gripe” he had while filming their 2024 smash hit “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and fans were not expecting the tea he spilled.

“I loved filming the movie and had the time of my life,” Jackman told the audience, “But I had one little gripe.”

According to a video obtained by the Daily Mail, Jackman explained that while he didn’t need to be in every scene of the Marvel blockbuster, one particular omission stung, especially given his Broadway background.

“Don’t tell Ryan… I don’t need to be in every scene in the movie,” Jackman teased. “But Ryan is a writer. And when I see the script, I see that the scene that I’m not in is the opening sequence, which is a dance number to an *NSYNC song by Ryan.”

“I’m like, the one scene I’m not in has dance. Now Ryan, he’s very talented, but dancing?” he said, raising eyebrows and laughs from the crowd.

Jackman continued the roast, poking fun at Reynolds’ dance double: “There is no way I would try and match Ryan’s dance double Nick Pauley… because the guy’s like 25 years old.”

Not one to let a dance number “get away,” Jackman brought out his own trainer and former dancer Beth Lewis to perform the scene that should’ve been his, grooving along to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” as the audience erupted in applause.

Ryan Reynolds Makes Rare Public Appearance To Support Hugh Jackman Amid Blake Lively Legal Drama

This comes months after Reynolds made a rare, and emotional, public appearance, at Radio City Music Hall to support his longtime friend. The occasion? The opening night of Jackman’s new one-man show, “From New York, With Love,” a celebration of his life, legacy, and a little friendly jabbing. And Reynolds, never one to miss an opportunity to roast his bestie, didn’t disappoint.

“I was told this was going to be a comedy version of ‘Les Mis’ as a one-man show,” Reynolds quipped during a surprise appearance for an impromptu “Hugh & A” session. “We all said it was a terrible idea, but he carried on. I see he’s duped me once again!”

But the jokes soon gave way to genuine admiration. Reynolds reflected on the early days of their friendship, which began on the set of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” nearly two decades ago.

“This was the first major movie star I ever worked with, 16 or 17 years ago,” Reynolds said. “What I saw was just about the best thing anyone could experience if you’re working your way up in the industry.”

He continued, praising Jackman for his humility and professionalism. “I love this man, I care about this man. He is genuinely the best human being I know,” Reynolds shared, before cheekily adding, “And I have four children!”

Jackman, ever the showman, responded with a grin, calling Reynolds his “fifth best friend” and jokingly thanked him for showing up, even if he had asked for a free ticket.

The Legal Drama Between Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, And Justin Baldoni

While Jackman’s “From New York, With Love” brought out big laughs and heartfelt moments at Radio City Music Hall, the elephant in the room couldn’t be ignored: the increasingly messy legal battle between Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, and Reynolds.

What began as a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Lively against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Baldoni has quickly spiraled into a high-stakes legal saga.

In a bold move, Baldoni’s camp recently released behind-the-scenes footage from the set of “It Ends With Us” in an attempt to counter Lively’s claims. But Lively’s team fired back, saying the footage only further proved “inappropriate behavior” and created a toxic working environment during filming.

With a trial date set for March 2026, the once-collaborative atmosphere surrounding the romantic drama has turned into a Hollywood courtroom showdown.
