Ilhan Omar Endorses “Somalia First” Communist Omar Fateh for Minneapolis Mayor | The Gateway Pundit

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s endorsement of socialist state senator Omar Fateh for Minneapolis mayor is a clear warning about where the Democrat Party is heading.

Fateh, a self-described Democrat Socialist, represents the far left’s vision for America: a government that taxes more, spends recklessly, and undermines law enforcement while preaching “equity” over equality.

Omar praised Fateh as a “champion for working people.”

Yet the policies both advocate—rent control, higher minimum wages, and constant attacks on free enterprise—have repeatedly hurt working families the most.

In cities that adopted similar socialist experiments, like San Francisco and Portland, businesses closed, job opportunities dried up, and crime soared.

Minneapolis risks becoming the next failed progressive experiment if voters don’t push back.

Fateh’s candidacy is also inseparable from the radical anti-Israel, anti-police movement that Ilhan Omar herself has fueled for years.

Both politicians have attacked the Jewish state, minimized antisemitic rhetoric within their ranks, and stood silent as extremists harassed Jewish students and community members in Minneapolis.

Their vision for “justice and equity” has too often meant excusing hatred toward Israel and dividing Americans along racial and religious lines.

This endorsement is not about helping “working people.”

Rather, it’s about consolidating power for a movement that seeks to defund police, redistribute wealth, and punish success.

The same movement that cheered when Minneapolis burned in 2020 now wants to seize control of the city’s mayor’s office.

While Ilhan Omar and Omar Fateh call their agenda “bold leadership,” what they’re really offering is socialism wrapped in moral language.

President Trump and Republicans, by contrast, have fought to restore law and order, protect small businesses, and defend America’s alliance with Israel.

Under Trump, working Americans saw record job growth, historic tax cuts, and a foreign policy rooted in strength, not apology.

Voters in Minneapolis deserve better than another far-left ideologue who answers to Ilhan Omar’s radical base.

The city needs leadership grounded in common sense—leadership that values public safety, supports business growth, and stands firmly against antisemitism and extremism.

If Minneapolis falls to socialist control, it won’t just be a local loss—it’ll be another step toward the chaos and division that the far-left wants to spread nationwide.

It’s time to reject the Ilhan Omars and Omar Fatehs of American politics.

Their vision has failed every city and country that’s tried it. Only a return to Republican leadership and Trump-style pragmatism can restore prosperity, security, and moral clarity to America’s cities.
