Income tax: Give voters a voice

Re: “WA income tax ‘necessity clause’ in bill to block referendum challenge” (Feb. 18, Local News):

How are our elected legislators, who serve and represent the people, allowed to curb our ability to express our will? I’m not a Trumper whatsoever, but I’m struck that the No Kings protests I’ve seen against the president should now, locally, be turned inward to our own state officials.

Why are they allowed to take away our rights and voice? Lord help us.

    Christine Brooks King, Mercer Island
