It’s too early for Wembanyama to commit his entire career to Spurs

Victor Wembanyama has just completed his second season with the San Antonio Spurs. The 2023 No. 1 pick has already proven that he is every bit as good as the hype that surrounded him as he entered his draft cycle.

Wembanyama has all the talent needed to become a top player in the NBA before too long. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the Spurs are rebuilding their roster around Wembanyama, as they aim to lean on his potential greatness to forge a dynasty.

It would appear that Wembanyama has similar dreams. When speaking with Maxime Aubin of L’Équipe, the budding superstar spoke of his desire to be a single-team legend by the end of his career.

“I know that not every player in the NBA has the same ambitions, but it’s obviously my dream to spend my entire career with a single franchise,” Wembanyama said. “Here. In San Antonio.”
