Jason Tartick and Kat Stickler Call It Quits After 6 Months Together

The pair started dating shortly after Jason’s messy breakup with Kaitlyn Bristowe, another member of Bachelor Nation, following their engagement.

After approximately six months together, Jason Tartick and Kat Stickler announced their split on Saturday, October 12, through posts on social media.

“The Bachelorette” alum took to social media to confirm his split from Kat Stickler, stating that he and the 29-year-old parted ways “amicably.”

“I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together,” he began. “It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life, that works out and other times it doesn’t. This time it didn’t.”

Jason continued, “Kat has brought me so much happiness and light, she brought out parts of me I never knew existed. I will forever be grateful for her and of course, sweet and MK,” referring to Kat’s 5-year-old daughter.

While the two ultimately decide to call it quits, Jason says he wishes Kat nothing but happiness in the future.

“This chapter closes amicably, and another opens. I’ll be rooting for her happiness and I am also rooting for mine,” he concluded.

In March, Jason hinted at his relationship with the social media star during an interview with People Magazine, although he didn’t officially confirm it. He described her as “an amazing person, lovely, great mother [and] hilarious content creator. I only have incredible things to say about her.”

As for Kat Stickler, she addressed the split in a social media video, where she told her fans, “So with two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life. But a lot of you have already guessed and, yes, Jason and I have broken up,” adding that “it just didn’t work.”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” she continued. “… I understand that with posting a relationship online you also have to show this side, the aftermath — Woohoo, so fun I love this.”

“But I just wanted to tell you guys and it’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes it is so easy to think that when a relationship ends that the love is wasted,” the social media star added. “But love is never wasted. So, that’s all I have to say.”

On June 17, Tartick confirmed the relationship on an episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast.

“It’s such an exciting time in my life, and I’m just beyond thankful for all the love and support,” he said at the time. “…I honestly have no other words than peace, happiness, and just grateful. Like, just very, very, very, very grateful.”

They went Instagram official on June 12. “Heart is full,” Kat wrote alongside photos of her and Tartick hugging.

Rumors of a blossoming romance between Jason and Kat came shortly after Jason and Kaitlyn Bristowe broke off their engagement after four years together.

“After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” the couple wrote at the time.

“I will hold myself accountable for certain things in the relationship… but [the fans] don’t know anything. I knew it was going to be bad, but I didn’t know it was going to be THAT bad of what people were saying to me,” she shared.
