Johnny Depp’s Lawyer Reveals Why She ‘Would Never Date’ The Actor

The high-profile lawyer represented the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star in his $100 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, which ended up in the actor’s favor.

Now, Camille Vasquez claims that while she finds Johnny Depp to be a “lovely person,” he is not her type, and they share different perspectives about the world.

In an interview with Extra, Vasquez opened up about the dating rumors that linked her with Depp, whom she represented in court.

The rumors had begun due to what seemed like flirtatious interactions during Depp’s defamation trial against Heard.

Vasquez has now shared that not only did she not have a relationship with Depp at the time, she doesn’t see one happening in the near future.

“I would never,” Vasquez said, shutting down the rumors of her and Depp. “Let me just go on the record here. Never dated Johnny Depp. Never would date Johnny Depp. I think he’s a lovely person… He’s not my type.”

Vasquez then further explained that she and the actor had different views about the world, which might have partly led to that decision.

She added, “I remember maybe after 30 [or] 40 minutes of speakin’ with him, I remember having an out of body experience and looking at him and thinking, ‘He views the world so differently than I do.”‘

Vasquez had previously addressed rumors about her relationship with Depp, saying it was untrue, but she wasn’t surprised that people linked her with the actor.

“I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job,” she told People Magazine in 2022. However, she was turned off by several outlets who decided to push the story despite its “sexist” nature.

She added, “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny — who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”

Vasquez also pointed out that those seemingly flirtatious interactions were because she cared “very deeply” about her clients and had become close with Depp then.

She continued, “And I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. And I’m not ashamed about that.”

While Depp might not have had a relationship with Vasquez, he has since opened up to love again after his split from Heard.

Recent reports claimed that he is now dating Russian beautician Polina Vlasova, whom he met during the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic, in August 2021.

They also claimed that the relationship has been here and there for over two years, which suggests it most likely began after Depp won his defamation trial against Heard.

Vlasova is reportedly based in Prague, where she runs a makeup and hairstyling studio. However, she frequently travels to the U.K. to spend time with Depp, who resides on an 850-acre estate in Somerset.

Neither Depp nor Vlasova has confirmed their relationship. However, the beautician has hinted at their romance by posting pictures of her and Depp.

In one, which she shared on her Instagram Story, she and Depp could be seen resting their hands on each other’s legs.

At the time, the model posted the picture in response to a follower’s question about her “favorite actor.” At the time, Vlasova captioned the photo, “J.D. He is a man who is incredibly talented and inspiring.”

She also shared another snapshot where Depp is lovingly wrapping his arms around her from behind. It appeared to have been taken in some rustic outdoor space during a private getaway.

Vlasova also added the caption, “Don’t believe everything you hear on the internet. My dear friend,” while locking her comment section to prevent any remarks from fans.

Depp recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his emotional state following a tumultuous period in his life.

During the screening of his new project, “Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness,” at the Rome Film Festival, the actor weighed in on his previous statement about how his life “turned into a soap opera” and was asked if he still felt that way.

Depp replied, “Honestly, I can sit here this very second and think about all the hit pieces and how everybody was against me, and yeah, yeah, yeah, he is off the map … endless stuff.”

“I can remember it all. Went through it all. Some of it was not the most beautiful time, some of it was hilarious. Some of it was mad,” Depp continued. “The thing is, it simply just was, and it simply just is. So, for me, it happened. I learned, man.”

“Everything that we experience, whether you’re given a snow cone or walking your dog, you learn something somewhere along the way,” the actor added. “So I don’t have any ill feelings toward anyone.”
