Jon Talton: ‘He will be missed’

Re: “Jon Talton, Seattle Times business columnist and author, dies at 69” (Feb. 4, Local News):

Let’s just say Jon Talton and I were usually not on the same page on many of his more liberal columns. However, Jon was always ready to respond to my comments, disagree politely or even occasionally accept my views.

He was thoroughly committed to the business future of Seattle and his notes to me revealed an open mind and delightful sense of humor. He was remembered in a wonderful article in The Arizona Republic for his body of work there also. He will be missed; he stirred emotions.

    Mike Liepman, Gig Harbor
