Justin Trudeau Reportedly Feels ‘Refreshed’ Getting To Know Katy Perry

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau‘s relationship may soon intensify into something more intimate following their swanky dinner date.

Sources have confirmed that the former prime minister of Canada wants to go on more of such dates with the “Roar” hitmaker as she’s the “kind of woman that really caught his attention.”

It comes after Katy Perry’s split from her estranged fiancé, Orlando Bloom, whom she dated for almost a decade.

Perry and Trudeau were recently spotted enjoying a quiet dinner together in Montreal’s high-end restaurant Le Violon this week, just a month after the singer confirmed her split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom.

The “Teenage Dreams” hitmaker is currently in the country as part of her ongoing “Lifetimes” world tour, but took time out to enjoy the hangout with Trudeau.

Now sources close to Trudeau say he wants to see more of Perry, who has been described as a “breath of fresh air.”

Perry and Trudeau had reportedly been talking to each other for some time after meeting at an event long before their private dinner on Monday night.

They both have a common interest in making the world a “better place” and could have possibly bonded over it during their date.

“Justin always enjoys nice company, and Katy is the kind of woman that really caught his attention,” a source who worked with Trudeau while he was in office, told The U.S. Sun.

Trudeau, who separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023, is said to be keen to see Perry again as they “click very well” so far.

“Justin has been single for a while and has enjoyed getting to know her. He likes her personality, and they are two people who really enjoy chatting about different topics, and they click very well so far, as they are going to see each other again very soon,” the insider said.

According to the news outlet, Trudeau was quite the gentleman as he reportedly picked up the tab after they enjoyed their food, which included a lobster dish.

He was seemingly hoping not to attract any attention to their outing, but after news of it made headlines, he doesn’t care anymore.

This may not be the last time they’ll see each other, as the 53-year-old politician is said to be planning to visit her in the U.S., where he’ll be spending more time in the coming months.

“Whatever happens, happens. He is a single man, so [he] is on the market and ready to start something new with a woman after a few rough moments after splitting from his wife,” the source noted.

“He is feeling that talking to her and getting to know her is very refreshing, like a breath of fresh air in his life. He was happy to connect with her so well, and that she appreciates him being a normal, respectful person who was very understanding of her recent separation from Orlando Bloom,” the insider continued.

They added, “He isn’t the kind of guy that would rush things, and she seems to enjoy that a lot. It’s a gentlemanly way to behave.”

Another source close to Trudeau claimed he and the “California Gurl” singer had been wanting to meet up “for a while” and that she agreed to it “very quickly.”

“Justin isn’t shy about his romantic life, and he took her on a date, and he was very, very excited to do so and kept talking about it in the last few days,” the source said.

“He feels like a young adult again, he is very excited about the process so far, and he really enjoys getting to know her and to talk about many, many topics with her,” the insider added.
