Kamala Harris Drinks Beer With Stephen Colbert While Floridians Trying To Flee Hurricane Milton Face Gas Shortages

Kamala Harris was cracking open beers with late-night comedian Stephen Colbert Tuesday while Florida residents are fleeing in a mass evacuation prior to the landfall of Hurricane Milton.

Demonstrating an uncanny ability to be tone-deaf at all times, the Democrat presidential candidate offered little in the way of confidence that she was even vaguely focused on the impending natural disaster.

“Elections, I think, are won on vibes,’ Colbert told his guest. “Because one of the old saws is they just want somebody they can have a beer with. So… would you like to have a beer with me so I can tell people what that’s like?”

Harris cackled, as she is known to do, and replied, “The last time I had beer was at a baseball game with Doug.”

It was as cringeworthy as you could possibly imagine.

Kamala Harris Throwing Back Beers While Florida Residents Flee From Hurricane

Kamala Harris’ beer stunt is an obvious attempt to make her seem relatable. What would be even more relatable is if she hunkered down in the White House and tried to lead in informing the public about the massive Hurricane heading toward Florida.

But then, Florida isn’t really a toss-up at this point. With Trump well ahead in the 538 aggregate polls, perhaps she’s just aware of the electoral map. Just as she hasn’t seemed very concerned about the victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina or Georgia.

So while she’s pouring back a Miller High Life (and by pouring back, I mean pretending to take a sip), residents of the Sunshine State are trying to flee to safety. And they’re running into problems.

Milton, a monster of a storm perhaps never seen before in size and strength combined, is bearing down on the Tampa Bay area as we speak.

New reports suggest that those trying to get out of the area are running into massive gas shortages.

“As traffic crawled on Interstate 75 out of Tampa and Orlando, some gas stations in the areas had run out of gas, and it was unknown when new fuel deliveries would arrive,” Fox Business reports. That report is backed up by Florida resident Chris Cain, who said the highways are packed and he was trying to find fuel to make it inland to safe harbor.

CNN reports that close to 1,500 Florida gas stations have run out of fuel, creating significant problems for those trying to evacuate, and even for those staying behind and hoping to power up using generators as the storm passes.

CBS provides similar numbers – noting that a whopping 21% of Florida’s gas stations have run dry.

The largest shortages appear to be in locales inland – Gainesville and Orlando are facing much bigger shortages than, for example, Miami or Jacksonville.

On the other hand, Republican Florida governor Ron DeSantis said, “There is no fuel shortage. Fuel continues to arrive in the state of Florida.”

    She Lectures Floridians About Misinformation

It will surely come as solace to Florida residents that as they race across the state trying to find fuel, Kamala Harris is on a talk show with a washed-up comedian sipping beers and giggling like a school girl.

Certainly instills confidence, doesn’t it? But hey, don’t worry, she’s cracking down on the important stuff as the hurricane is poised for mass destruction in the Tampa area – misinformation.

That’s right, Kamala Harris and her beer need you to stop listening to misinformation about the government’s inept response to disasters – in particular, the last hurricane and ongoing devastation.

“First of all, to all of those folks in North Carolina and Georgia, please know that people on the ground with FEMA are there to help you, you are entitled to it,” she said. “There’s a lot of information and I beseech you, I beg you not to listen to it.”

Florida residents can rest assured that even though she’s sipping beers with her entitled Hollywood friends while they’re trying to get out of the path of a hurricane, the government will be there to help them pick up the pieces.

Just like in North Carolina where NASCAR legends and country stars have both tried to provide aid, comfort, and rescue operations to combat the government’s failures.
