Kendra Wilkinson has responded to critics who were less than impressed with her outfit choice in a recent photo.

“The Girl’s Next Door” star made a complete career change five years ago into real estate, leaving her showbiz life behind.

However, Wilkinson shared that her time at the “Playboy Mansion” definitely took a toll on her. As she heals from her trauma, the reality star is also doing away with men.

Kendra Wilkinson Defends Her Conservative Fashion Choice As ‘Evolving’ Into Herself

The 40-year-old took to Instagram to address the criticism a photo of her in a conservative outfit received. Wilkinson was seen clad in a vintage long-sleeved shirt tucked into wide-leg black pants, paired with black shoes.

Her hair was pulled back in a low ponytail as she posed with a wide smile beside her open house sign.

“I know a lot didn’t like this photo, but I do. I think it represents me and what I’m doing nowadays to a T,” Wilkinson began in the caption. “I’m so happy I’m evolving into myself and growing [into]  who I want to be,” she noted.

The real estate agent shared her pride in the property she had just opened, which was making progress.

“Yes, I’ve never really had the greatest fashion sense, but that’s just who I’ve always been. This outfit isn’t the hottest, but it makes me feel good in different ways,” she admitted.

Wilkinson joked that there was a sense of freedom that accompanied “not always looking like I’m for TV or a photoshoot.”

She did not end it without encouraging her fans who were interested in “buying or selling” property in LA to contact her.

Numerous fans quickly filled the comment section with support. A user gushed, “You know what’s even hotter? Stepping into your authentic self, Kendra. You’re an amazing, resilient woman!! I’m loving this!!

Four years after announcing her career switch, Wilkinson decided to step away from real estate, at least temporarily. As reported by The Blast, the mother of two shared the news on social media, revealing that she was shifting focus.

“I’m blessed and thankful for all the support and mentoring I was given. Real estate is hard, and I might get back into it again down the line,” Wilkinson wrote.

She explained that she was focusing on her mental health and her children, Hank IV and daughter Alijah, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Hank Baskett.

Addressing the negative effect the experience had on her mental health, Wilkinson revealed she had a panic attack that landed her in the hospital.

The broker admitted at the time she was “dying of depression” and hit a point where she didn’t feel “strong enough to live anymore,” per The Blast.

“It’s not easy to look back at my 20s. I’ve had to face my demons,” the “Girls Next Door” star confessed before adding bluntly, “Playboy really messed my whole life up.”

The Real Estate Agent Is Done With Men

As Wilkinson is moving forward from her dark past, she has decided to focus on her real estate business and steer clear of men.

The Blast reported in July that Wilkinson, while appreciating her fans, stated that she was happy being a mom to her kids, enjoying the absence of men’s drama in her life, and adoring her body.

Diving right into business, she urged her fans to refer her to anyone who needed real estate services.
