Kevin Costner Reportedly Trying To Keep His New Romance ‘Hush Hush’

Kevin Costner appears to have found a new partner in Kelly Noonan Gores, as insiders say he’s not looked as happy as he has in years.

The Hollywood actor is understood to be “casually dating” Gores, and set tongues wagging when they made separate appearances at the JAS Labor Day Experience festival in Snowmass Village near Aspen.

According to a report, Kevin Costner was left “burned” and exhausted from his public split with ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, so insiders say he’s approaching his new relationship with “kid’s gloves.”

Kevin Costner is no longer single as he continues to heat up relationship rumors with Kelly Noonan Gores, the ex-wife of billionaire Alec Gores.

The “Yellowstone” actor has recently made headlines for his relationship status after sources first disclosed last week that he has been getting to know the 46-year-old filmmaker.

Now, things seem to be more solid with the pair sparking intense rumors when they made separate appearances at a Labor Day event over the weekend. Costner turned up for the event in a black quarter-zip sweater, dark pants, and sunglasses, while Gores wore a chic black mini dress paired with a denim jacket and ankle boots.

“Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time in his life,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He has been seeing Kelly. They were together in Aspen in late July. He has tried to keep it very hush-hush because he doesn’t want this to go off the rails.”

Costner and Gores’ relationship seemingly kickstarts a new phase in their love life altogether, as they both were recently involved in divorces from their respective ex-partners.

Costner was married to ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, but finalized their divorce in February 2024 after 18 years of marriage.

Their split was public and messy, with Baumgartner demanding nearly $250,000 a month in child support.

The actor’s lawyers described her demands at the time as “unrealistic and frankly outrageous,” and offered to pay her $75,000 before a judge ultimately reduced it to $63,209.

On her part, Gores got married to billionaire Alec Gores in 2016 but announced their split in December last year, and shares a 6-year-old daughter, Riley.

The source who spoke to the Daily Mail confirmed that the 46-year-old has some of the qualities the actor has been looking for.

“She is exactly his type and they have a lot in common: the outdoors, sports — she likes to surf — long walks with dogs,” the insider said. “Also, she has young kids, and he loves kids, so he thinks that’s cute. He says she is just ‘chill,’ which is what he needs right now.”

Meanwhile, the “Hidden Figures” actor is not getting ahead of himself on his relationship with Gores as he’s understood to be taking things slow, especially as geography tends to pose a threat.

Costner lives in Carpinteria, California, while Gores is based about 100 miles away in Manhattan Beach.

Before now, they reportedly “spent time” together in Colorado and have been “getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can,” per Us Weekly.

The pair were introduced to each other via a mutual friend, with an insider saying, “So if it doesn’t work out romantically, they will at least make a good new trusted friend.”

“This is currently in the wait-and-see period of it all, but they both aren’t running away from a potential loving new relationship,” they added.
