Leonardo DiCaprio’s Remarks During Viral Golden Globes Exchange Revealed

The actor sparked online buzz after he was seen talking animatedly with the actress and making humorous facial expressions while interacting with other attendees.

While Leonardo DiCaprio attended the event with his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, was absent.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest appearance at the Golden Globes set social media abuzz after he was spotted engaging in a very animated conversation with one of the attendees.

The attendee was later identified as his “One Battle After Another” co-star, Teyana Taylor, but questions about what the two were so intensely discussing continued to circulate on social media in the aftermath of the event.

Now, deaf content creator Jackie G, who reportedly lip-read the conversation, has claimed that DiCaprio was commenting on watching her facial expressions while a segment of the show featured K-pop.

“I was watching you with the K-pop thing,” DiCaprio seemingly told the actress, as suggested by Jackie G. “You were like [peers over, looking confused] is that? Who is the K-pop? Are they? Is it? We were laughing – we were like, ‘Is that? Is that K-Pop?'”

Jackie G’s TikTok comments section was flooded with fans and celebrities alike reacting to DiCaprio’s exchange.

Some called his alleged remarks “wild,” and others noted that the movie star had a “sassy” attitude.

Kerry Washington wrote, “I CAN’T” with a laughing emoji, while a fan stated, “He’s much more sassy than I expected.”

Beyond his eye-raising conversation with Taylor, DiCaprio also drew attention for repeatedly pulling humorous facial expressions while chatting with other attendees throughout the event.

His formal look also sparked conversation, with many noting its similarity to his last appearance in 2024.

This year, he wore a classic black-and-white Dior tuxedo paired with black calf-leather lace-up shoes by Manolo Blahnik.

For his previous appearance, he opted for a Giorgio Armani Made-to-Measure tuxedo, also styled with similar lace-up shoes.

This year’s ceremony also saw DiCaprio attend alongside his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, 82, whom he has previously credited as a major influence on the success of his acting career.

“She’s the only reason I’m able to do what I do,” the actor told Access Hollywood in 2014, per the Daily Mail.

Despite having his mother by his side, it did little to boost DiCaprio’s good luck on the night, as he left the event empty-handed after being widely tipped as a potential winner for his performance in “One Battle After Another.”

He missed out on the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy to Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme.

An added highlight of the Golden Globes came when host Nikki Glaser took a playful jab at DiCaprio over his age-gap relationship with Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti, 27.

The 41-year-old comedian addressed DiCaprio’s rumored long-standing tradition of dating women in their twenties shortly after first praising the actor’s glittering Hollywood career.

“The most impressive thing is that you’ve been able to accomplish all of this before your girlfriend turned 30,” Glazer said as the camera panned on DiCaprio.

Following the remark, DiCaprio appeared visibly uncomfortable and offered an awkward thumbs-up, seemingly trying to be a good sport.

Glazer then apologized for the initial jab but appeared to take another playful dig at DiCaprio, as she noted that he rarely offers the public much to discuss aside from his dating history.
