“The Bachelor” star Madi Prewett hasn’t spoken much about her time filming season 24 of the hit reality dating show with pilot Peter Weber.

    However, that’s all changing today.

During a recent podcast appearance, Madi Prewett, 29, opened up about her experience on the ABC series, which she described as “traumatizing.”

‘Bachelor’ Alum Madi Prewett Slams The Reality Show As ‘Traumatizing’

Speaking with Matt and Abby Howard on their show, “Unplanned Podcast,” Prewett, who is now married to Grant Troutt, a pastor in Texas, said filming season 24 of the reality dating competition show with Weber was “traumatizing,” later explaining she lost “20 pounds” during her time away.

Prewett also reflected on the tense conversation she had with Weber’s mother during the “After the Final Rose” special, where the latter voiced her displeasure with Prewett being with her son.

During the episode, Matt asked the reality star how she remained calm in that moment, to which Prewett replied, “I can’t even remember what aired and what [didn’t].”

“Y’all, I don’t even know if I watched my season all the way through, I’ll be very honest,” she went on. “I very much removed myself from all things ‘Bachelor.’ Even to this day, I really don’t talk about it a ton.”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Prewett revealed that being on “The Bachelor” ultimately tested her in many ways. “I thought that strength was not being weak or vulnerable,” she said. “But I learned that it wasn’t always about putting on a brave face.”

Later, Prewett recalled feeling “attacked” by Weber’s mother during the “Final Rose” special, adding, “I felt like that moment was fully robbed from me, and I eventually locked myself in a bathroom and cried for hours.”

When Prewett and Weber left the special, the pair believed there might have been a chance for their relationship to develop. However, Prewett said that she “realized soon after the finale that things weren’t meant to be.”

According to Prewett, she and Weber disagreed on “values and beliefs,” and forcing a relationship did not make sense for them. She explained that their split was a mutual decision, and assured fans that they ended things with “so much love and respect for each other.”

‘Bachelor’ Alum Opens Up About Deeply Personal Stories On Podcast

Prewett’s revelation on the “Unplanned Podcast” is not the first time the mother of one has shared deeply personal stories about her past with the public. On her own podcast, “Stay True,” Prewett recently discussed leaving religion for more than a year when she became the subject of church gossip.

After learning members of her congregation were chatting about her, Prewett told guest Lisa Harper that she pulled away from God for “about a year.” During that time, Prewett would listen to sermons; however, she wasn’t engaging with her community.

That all changed for Prewett, however, after she had a moving experience with God. “I’ve been hurt by people of God, but I’ve also been healed and freed by people of God through the spirit of God,'” she said.

Prewett Touched Was ‘Enslaved’ To Pornography

In a separate podcast episode, Prewett also touched on her years of “enslavement” to pornography and “sexual sin.”

According to her, after discovering pornographic videos at the age of 13 with a friend, m-sturbation became a regular action for her that took over her life, leading her to question everything about herself, including her “identity.”

After speaking up about her struggle with others, though, Prewett revealed that she was able to overcome “porn and m-sturbation” and has been “free” of that sin for over a decade.

Prewett’s Husband Struggled With Sexual Sin, Too

On her “Stay True” podcast, Prewett’s husband, Troutt, also shared a moving story about his experience with sexual sin, calling it a “shameful, roller-coaster cycle” that he was stuck in.

However, after Troutt decided to take his struggles with porn and m-sturbation “seriously,” the Texas-based pastor and father of one said that he had an experience with God that put him on a completely different trajectory.

“It drove me to this place where I have nothing but [God]. … I just remember walking with Jesus, [and] he was healing me. It was like he was stripping everything in my life because it was drawing me right into the person of Jesus Christ,” he said.
