‘It’s Been The Hardest 3 Years Of My Life’

At the end of December, Matthews posted a video on Instagram that shared more of her journey dealing with a chronic illness.

“It’s been the hardest 3 years of my life. Dealing with chronic illness can be one of the most frustrating and isolating things to go through. I’ve had to show up so many times where I felt ugly and didn’t recognize myself. I lost so much of my self worth when I was unable to do daily tasks like taking care of my kids,” she captioned her video.

“But, I have also been able to connect with so many of you dealing with something similar and advocate for my health when my cries to doctors were being ignored. PRAYING that 2025 brings me nothing but complete healing.”
