Monday women’s tournament winners, losers: No close calls

Round of 32 action in the women’s NCAA Tournament is complete and much like the games on Sunday, there was not a ton of action on the hardwood.

Here are three winners and losers from Monday’s action:

    Winners

    Home teams

Home teams finished with a perfect 8-0 record for the day.

That should come as no surprise though, as the “away” teams have come away with only six wins out of 48 games in tournament action so far.

    Alabama’s Sarah Ashlee Barker

In what was the final game of her collegiate career, Barker scored a career-high 45 points in a loss against Maryland.

Barker led Alabama in scoring all season long at 17.2 points per game and she was a huge reason that the Crimson Tide were able to get into not only one, but two overtime periods.
