Nikki Glaser will put her hosting shoes back on at the 83rd Golden Globes, which will take place on January 26, according to Deadline. The TV and film awards will be shown on CBS.

Glaser made history earlier this year when she became the first woman to host the Golden Globes alone. She got the role after she hosted “The Roast of Tom Brady” on Netflix, telling Deadlinebefore the 2025 ceremony that the hosting gig landed her on “some important people’s radar.”

According to the publication, the “FBoy Island” host has signed a three-year deal to host the Golden Globes. Although she has been shy about sharing her paycheck in the past, sources told the outlet that she was paid just over $400,000 for her first time around and that figure will rise “significantly” as she takes the stage for a second year in a row.

In a statement following her first performance, Glaser said, “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” adding, “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Helen Hoehne, President of the Golden Globes, was also impressed with Glaser’s work, saying, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”

The Monday after the ceremony, Glaser appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show to talk about some of the jokes that she decided not to use, as per The Hollywood Reporter. One of the jokes was about Diddy: “This is the last time all of you will be the same room together until the Diddy trial.”

When discussing the risky joke, Glaser explained, “We had another Diddy mention that worked better … and you only get one Diddy mention. You’re also accusing the people in the room of being involved in that, and they might turn on you.”

At the ceremony, she called now-two-time-Oscar-winner Adrien Brody a “two-time Holocaust survivor” due to his roles in “The Pianist” and “The Brutalist,” but cut out the second part of her joke: “If Adrien Brody could go back in time, he would thank baby Hitler for his career.”

“I loved that one so much,” Glaser admitted. “But my assistant is Gen Z, and she was like, ‘I don’t get it’” due to the time travel/Hitler joke apparently being a bit dated. “Oh, we’re going to lose a whole generation on that joke, and then I’ve said ‘Hitler’ for nothing.”

Nikki Glaser made sure to stay relevant with her material, which led her to cut a joke about Luigi Mangione. “Glen Powell is nominated tonight for Hit Man. Who would have thought you’d only be the second-hottest hit man in America?” was the joke that didn’t make it to air.

When Glaser explained that the Mangione story has mostly faded from headlines, Stern agreed that he himself would not have gotten the joke because the “hot hit man” angle has mostly faded from public perception.

Nikki Glaser Reveals The Joke That Was ‘Too Mean’ To Tell

Glaser also had another joke that was targeted at Alec Baldwin over the 2021 shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust.” The joke that she had planned to tell was “Michael Keaton was so great in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. And Alec Baldwin sadly did not come back to play a ghost because he was too busy making them.”

“Please know that I know that was not nice,” Glaser confessed. “It’s such a great joke, but it’s just too mean.”

Despite the shooting happening several years ago, Baldwin’s trial was not held until July 2024. On the third day of witness testimony, the judge dismissed the trial against him with prejudice after she concluded that the prosecution failed to turn over relevant evidence to his legal team. As such, he can never face criminal consequences for his role in her death, although he is facing several civil lawsuits.
