Nina Dobrev Reportedly ‘Devastated’ Over Shaun White Breakup

Hollywood star Nina Dobrev is reportedly struggling with the end of her five-year relationship with Shaun White.

The couple, who were engaged after White proposed in October 2024, called off their relationship earlier this month for reasons that have not yet been disclosed.

Although the breakup was initially described as “mutual,” Dobrev is said to be “devastated” by the split, but is leaning on her closest friends for support.

After getting engaged in October 2024, reports emerged earlier this month that Nina Dobrev and Shaun White had called it off.

With the actress also choosing to unpin her engagement post and attending the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival without her 5-carat diamond engagement ring, there was little left to doubt that the two had gone their separate ways.

Those close to Dobrev have now shared insight into her emotional state, revealing that she is struggling to cope with the split.

One insider claimed the actress is “devastated” by the split, especially as they had already begun planning their nuptials, per US Weekly.

Fortunately, she is being “supported by her closest girlfriends, who have been checking in on her” as she deals with the breakup,

In the meantime, she has yet to publicly comment on the breakup, and White has also chosen to remain silent.

Since the split, rumors have circulated about what may have led to the shocking decision, especially as it came just days after the former couple were spotted holding hands in Los Angeles while running errands.

Among the many speculations is infidelity, but a source clarified that “there was no cheating at all” during the relationship.

The two were also said to have remained “very loyal to each other” up until they ultimately decided they were better off apart.

“Any online speculation that suggests otherwise is ridiculous,” added the source about the former couple, who began dating in 2019.

Meanwhile, although many may have speculated that one of them was responsible for ending the relationship, previous reports have suggested otherwise.

“It was a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another,” a source toldPeople Magazine.

The duo was reportedly last photographed together in Los Angeles on August 31, 2025. Shortly after that sighting, Dobrev was spotted at the red carpet premiere of the film, “Eternity,” on September 7, noticeably not wearing her diamond engagement ring.

On social media, netizens reacted with shock to the breakup reports, especially since Dobrev had shared photos with White as recently as September 5.
