Shia LaBeouf is once again making headlines following a chaotic Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans that led to his arrest and a wave of viral reactions online. The actor’s alleged altercation outside a bar has drawn renewed scrutiny, particularly after reports surfaced that one of the individuals involved believes he was targeted in what he describes as a hate-motivated confrontation. At the same time, a resurfaced video showing Shia LaBeouf discussing unconventional ways to bring people back to church sparked a cheeky response from an OnlyFans content creator.

LaBeouf has had quite the week, and apparently, the applications for his church outreach program are already rolling in. LaBeouf’s arrest in New Orleans in the early hours of Tuesday, as the city’s Mardi Gras celebrations were underway, is facing fresh scrutiny, as an alleged victim of the actor’s rampage that night.

Jeffrey “Damnit,” a longtime local fixture and master of ceremonies at various New Orleans events and a Screen Actors Guild member who now resides and works in Hollywood most of the year, says he was targeted in the confrontation, which he is characterizing as an alleged hate crime.

The altercation that took place 15 minutes after midnight at R Bar in the city’s Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, video of which circulated widely online, showing a belligerent LaBeouf’s Jekyll and Hyde display as he was restrained outside the bar, left two bartenders injured and the actor facing two counts of simple assault. He was quickly released by early afternoon on Tuesday on his own recognizance.

He is due back in court on March 19.

In the video, first obtained by TMZ, LaBeouf is seen chatting with a group on the streets of New Orleans on February 7. After calling himself a Catholic and “a full-blown weirdo,” the former Disney icon asks someone if they go to church, then suggests they would if there was “a bunch of a-s, a-s just getting thrown around, a-s just getting flopped around.”

Nicole, who goes by Hazey Haley online and has nearly 3 million Instagram followers, reshared the clip from an X user, who captioned the footage, “While on his New Orleans bender, Shia LaBeouf is recorded stating that ‘heavenly a-s would bring folks back to church,’ what do you think?”

The OnlyFans star then tagged LaBeouf’s X account directly and posted a photo of herself in a fitted beige dress, writing, “Do you think I would bring folks back to the church?”

Haley Nicole Says She ‘Respects The Vision’ After LaBeouf Clip

While chatting with The Blast, Nicole explained that she “saw the clip and honestly, I respect the vision. If the goal is getting people through the doors, I feel like I’m more than qualified. I’ve been building a congregation online for years, the only difference is mine doesn’t have stained glass windows.”

The cheeky post landed on the same day that TMZ published an official New Orleans police report alleging LaBeouf used homophobic slurs during his Mardi Gras altercation. Videos later show LaBeouf dancing throughout the French Quarter and appear to show him waving his jail release papers.

“Look, I’m not here to judge anyone’s Mardi Gras,” Nicole added. “But if you’re dancing on Bourbon Street with your arrest papers hanging out of your mouth, maybe the church thing can wait.”

The influencer wasn’t the only one reacting. LaBeouf’s former costars also chimed in. Christy Carlson Romano, his “Even Stevens” co-star, posted a clip on Instagram lip-syncing to “I’m not involved, you made that very clear,” while Khleo Thomas from “Holes” grabbed a shovel and walked offscreen, captioning his video, “Smh…I got it……”

As for LaBeouf’s only public statement since the arrest? Two words posted to X on February 18: “Free me.”

This isn’t the first time LaBeouf has faced legal troubles. He was sent to court-ordered rehabilitation after being arrested in New York in 2017 for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, which was captured on livestream video.
