Ozzy Osbourne Celebrated On His 77th Posthumous Birthday

The love for Ozzy Osbourne continues to pour out from his family, with his longtime wife and daughter honoring him on what would have been his 77th birthday on Wednesday, December 30.

Sharon and Kelly Osbourne poured their heart out on social media while marking the late Prince of Darkness’s birthday posthumously. They each shared emotional posts honoring his memory while making touching vows.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne tied the knot in 1982 and welcomed three children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. The deceased rock star also has three children from his first marriage, Jessica, Louis, and his adopted son Elliot.

Kelly honored her late father by sharing three posts on Instagram. The first was a video montage set to Ozzy’s “Ordinary Man” track, capturing his daughter in an all-black ensemble with purple shades, similar to the ones Ozzy wore during his life.

The media personality posed on the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham, England, where a touching birthday memorial was erected for Ozzy. The words “Happy Birthday Ozzy” were spelled out with purple flowers alongside a card that read, “WE LOVE YOU DADDY, LOVE LOUIS, AIMÉE, KELLY & JACK.”

The tribute continued in the post’s caption, with Kelly reflecting on life without her father. “Happy birthday, Daddy. You most certainly did not die an ordinary man! Life without you is hard,” she began, noting that there hadn’t been a day when she did not dedicate herself to loving him and his legacy.

“I miss you more than anything in the world. I love you until eternity! What I would not give to watch you blow out just one more candle [candle emoji],” Kelly concluded her poignant caption.

In her second birthday tribute, set to Ozzy’s “Here For You” song, Kelly shared eleven throwback pictures detailing her relationship with her father from a young age. The images showcased a close bond between the pair, including shots of them goofing around.

Kelly declared that she missed her father “more than life itself!” in the post’s caption. Although the first two posts captured the former “Fashion Police” star in her feelings, the third showcased her determination to live a life that Ozzy would be proud of.

The third post featured a video montage of Ozzy throughout the years, smiling and laughing. The clip’s overlay text read, “miss Ozzy’s smile,” with Kelly captioning her post with a vow to her late father. “I promise to never stop smiling!” she wrote.

Kelly wasn’t alone with the emotional declarations on Ozzy’s posthumous birthday, as her mother echoed similar sentiments on her Instagram page. Sharon updated her followers on what would have been her late husband’s 77th birthday with a video montage.

The clip, set to Ozzy’s 1995 “See You On the Other Side” song, began with the birthday memorial erected on the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham. Then the scene changed to feature several pictures from Ozzy and Sharon’s life, depicting their enduring love for each other.

Sharon captioned the post with a vow as Kelly did, writing, “My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side.” Fans also joined her in wishing Ozzy a happy birthday.

Ozzy’s posthumous birthday isn’t the first time Sharon and Kelly have honored his memory since his July 22 passing. The Blast shared in September that Sharon had subtly showcased her love for the late rock star on Instagram.

Ozzy’s team had updated his official Instagram page with a picture of him performing at a concert. They captioned the post with the lyrics of his 2020 song, “Ordinary Man,” that read in part, “I don’t wanna say goodbye. When I do, you’ll be alright.”
