Ozzy Osbourne Gets Halloween Horror Nights Tribute

Ozzy Osbourne‘s legacy will continue to rock fans this Halloween season. Universal Studios has announced a special tribute to the late heavy metal icon at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, giving visitors a chance to celebrate the Prince of Darkness through an experience inspired by his legendary music and larger-than-life career.

Although a year has passed since Ozzy Osbourne’s death, celebrations of his life and career show no signs of slowing down. His family honored the late singer with heartfelt tributes on his first death anniversary on July 22, and his hometown marked the occasion with live music and street celebrations.

On July 29, Universal Studios announced its own tribute to the Prince of Darkness with an Ozzy Osbourne-themed haunted house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. It’s a fitting homage to the music icon whose gothic style, dark aesthetic, and theatrical performances have made him a natural fit for the Halloween season.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 begins in late August and will run through November 1. Tickets are now on sale, ranging from $90 to $399, depending on the ticket type.

The Osbourne family and Universal Studios collaborated to honor Ozzy, and Sharon says the entire family is “so proud” of what’s to come. “Ozzy would have absolutely loved it, and I’m sure he’s looking down smiling,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

Sharon said the haunted house will pay tribute to the singer’s personal life and decades-long career. His music will be featured throughout every room in the attraction, and it made her “incredibly excited” that the theme park wanted to celebrate her late husband.

The Osbourne matriarch revealed that her grandchildren are looking forward to visiting the park, and they’ve invited family friends to join them. “The house really reflects the evolution of his music and legacy,” Sharon said, adding that Ozzy would be “laughing his head off” if he saw the project in action. “He used to joke that every day was Halloween in our house, so this couldn’t be more fitting,” she noted.

Ozzy Osbourne’s Was The Final House Added To The 2026 Halloween Horror Nights Lineup

“Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” was the last haunted house announced for this year’s lineup of attractions at Halloween Horror Nights, and it will be featured at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort.

“Guests can anticipate a wild ride as they climb aboard the Crazy Train for a terrifying trip through his disturbing world of rock and roll,” the press release read.

Other notable houses included at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights include “Stranger Things 5,” “Hellraiser,” “Sinners,” and “Evil Dead Burn,” as well as concept houses including “Madlands: Caged Cannibals,” and “Invasion: Alien Abduction,” just to name a few.

John Murdy, the executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood, teases that the attraction took inspiration from 13 of the singer’s albums, and visitors will get to experience the “surreal worlds” from Ozzy’s mind.

“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal – he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art, and horror,” Murdy said, per Variety.

Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at the Orlando theme park also said they focused on creating an “authentic experience” that highlights the icon’s persona. “Fans will discover so many meaningful details, including a few Easter eggs, as they navigate memorable dark and twisted moments,” he added.

    Ozzfest Is Officially Coming Back

The Osbourne family has found meaningful ways to honor Ozzy’s legacy, including bringing back Ozzfest, the heavy metal and rock music festival that Ozzy and Sharon launched in 1996.

The festival helped boost the careers of bands such as Slipknot, Disturbed, and System of a Down. The last Ozzfest was held in California in 2018. Years later, Sharon said it came to an end due to greedy managers and agents who “wanted more and more and more.”

“They thought we were making billions on it and we weren’t. We made a profit. But it was not like we could retire on it,” she said.

In March, however, Sharon confirmed that Ozzfest will be returning in 2027, launching with a two-day concert in England before heading to the U.S.
