Paris Jackson Finds Solace After Devastating Split

Late Michael Jackson’s daughter stepped out with her godfather and his partner for a night out in the city after she and her fiancée, Justin Long, parted ways in July.

Paris Jackson was previously spotted crying during a solo walk on the streets of Malibu, after which she clarified that it was indeed because of her broken engagement to the actor.

The 27-year-old was spotted looking radiant alongside Macaulay Culkin and his partner, Brenda Song, at the Chateau Mormont in Los Angeles. Paris kept it casual in a see-through white button-down shirt paired with a tan mini skirt and knee-high brown boots.

She elevated the look with a loosely knotted tie and kept her blonde tresses in a deep middle part with waves for days. Paris also reportedly shared a moment with her cousin, Austin Brown, at the event where they took pictures.

As for Macaulay and Brenda, business casual was the order of the day for their wardrobe. The former child star donned a gray suit paired with a matching tie and a white shirt. He paired his look with black shoes and a tie-dye bag doused with plush dolls.

The Daily Mail noted that Macaulay’s ties to Paris can be traced from her childhood through her friendship with her father, the pop legend Michael Jackson. The actor is also the godfather to Paris’ siblings, Prince and Blanket.

When passersby and internet spectators spotted Paris looking somber and emotional during her outing in the city, rumors began flying that it was connected to the death of her late dad, who passed away nearly two decades ago.

The Blast reported that the 27-year-old quickly trashed the idea, stating that the tears were actually due to her failed engagement to Justin six months after the actor popped the question.

In the now-deleted Instagram post, Paris flaunted stills from Justin’s birthday where they could not keep their hands off each other.

She craftily sneaked in pictures of the actor getting down on one knee with a black box in his hands, housing a blinding diamond ring. Paris accompanied the post with a loving caption, which read:

“Happy birthday, my sweet Blue. Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”

The TV personality had gotten way ahead in her wedding plans, most likely unaware of the future lying ahead between herself and the actor. 

Last month, she confidently expressed that her wedding dress had been made, and an astrologer helped them pick the perfect date, in tune with her LA roots. Paris raved about her affinity for collecting crystals and researching deep into astrology, which is why it would play a significant role on her big day. 

Before then, the actress faced severe backlash for opting to perform at a concert on the anniversary of her father’s death. It has been 16 years since the king of pop passed on, and fans felt the actress should have taken a break from the mic as a show of respect to the icon.

Paris, however, defended herself, explaining that it was nearly impossible to cancel out of committed dates for a show she was not headlining. Nevertheless, the singer took a minute to pay tribute to her late father and his sterling legacy.

The star began her year on a clean slate by celebrating five years of being completely sober and clean from alcohol, drugs, or any other harmful substance. The Blast reported that she celebrated the milestone by looking back on her days of struggles in multiple pictures and footage.

The media personality could not hide her pride for coming to this fair, emphasizing that there is still much ground to cover, but being able to smile and mean it was all thanks to her sobriety.

Paris’s journey with drugs and addiction reportedly began after she lost her father and sought escape from the pain. Although now sober, Paris still feels a deep connection to her father, according to the tribute she paid him on stage at the Incubus concert in June.

She noted that her father put about 5 decades “of blood, sweat and tears and love, and passion into doing what he did” so she could stand up here on stage and sing her heart out to the teeming audience.

Paris emphasized to the crowd that she feels indebted to the icon in many ways than one for giving her a life and a career.
