President Donald Trump has nominated Sean Duffy, former Wisconsin congressman and Fox Business host, as his Secretary of Transportation.
Duffy is currently a co-host of “The Bottom Line” on Fox Business and a contributor on Fox News.
Duffy, a father of nine and husband to Fox News personality Rachel Campos-Duffy, rose to fame in the 1990s on MTV’s The Real World. However, his transition from reality TV star to respected public servant has defined his career, according to Daily Mail.
Duffy was appointed as the District Attorney of Ashland County, Wisconsin, in 2002, a position he held until 2010.
He then successfully ran for Congress, representing Wisconsin’s 7th district from 2011 until he resigned in 2019.
His resignation was motivated by personal reasons, specifically to care for a newborn daughter with a heart defect.
Duffy has also been involved in various legislative activities, including supporting President Trump’s immigration policies.
In a statement released by his transition team, President-elect Trump praised Duffy’s extensive experience and bipartisan approach.

During his time in Congress, Sean was a respected voice and communicator in the Republican Conference, advocating for Fiscal Responsibility, Economic Growth, and Rural Development.
