The long-awaited Pussycat Dolls comeback is already stirring controversy.

Shortly after the group announced a major reunion tour, tensions surfaced between current and former members.

While some singers prepare to hit the road, others claim they were completely left out of the plans, igniting public frustration and cryptic responses across social media.

Pussycat Dolls Reunion Tour Announcement Triggers Fallout

Excitement quickly turned into drama after the Pussycat Dolls confirmed their first global tour in 17 years.

The new lineup features Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt, who are set to perform across the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America on a massive 53-date tour.

However, the group once operated as a six-member act. Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton are not part of the reunion, and their absence has raised eyebrows among fans.

Soon after the announcement, Bachar and Sutta suggested they were completely unaware of the reunion until the news went public.

Jessica Sutta revealed she learned about the reunion at the same time as everyone else. When a fan asked whether she would reconnect with the rest of the Pussycat Dolls, she replied bluntly, “No, I’m not.”

She then elaborated on how the situation unfolded, stating, per the Daily Mail, “They have been planning it for a year and blatantly didn’t ask Carmit and I. We are finding it all out the same time you are.”

Sutta also shared a series of cryptic messages to her Instagram Stories that many interpreted as indirect criticism of the reunion.

One post read, “Pray that god keeps removing who’s not meant for you and revealing what you need to see. Even if it hurts right now, he’s making room for what’s truly yours.”

Another message added, “You can go to church every Sunday, but that doesn’t mean God doesn’t see how you treat others and what you do.”

A third post continued the theme, “Those who hurt you will see how God heals you – publicly, beautifully, and beyond what they expected.”

Meanwhile, fellow former member Melody Thornton has not publicly commented on the reunion.

Producer Speaks Out About The Pussycat Dolls Comeback

    Instagram Stories | Carmit Bachar

Carmit Bachar also appeared to signal her feelings about the reunion by reposting a video from former Pussycat Dolls producer Eddie Serrano.

In the clip shared on Instagram, Serrano criticized the decision to move forward with only three members.

He said, “I’m here to talk about one thing… I have been very close friends to a lot of Pussycat Dolls, Carmit you know you’re my sister.”

Serrano continued with a pointed critique of the trio lineup.

“I’m very upset about this Pussycat Doll ‘reunion’… I do have a problem when I see my home girls, who were very instrumental in building the brand, not a part of this ‘reunion,’” he said.

Serrano then emphasized that the group should be reunited in its full form.

He said, “We need to see them as a unit, not just as three girls that’s not the Pussycat Dolls, that’s just the ‘Pussy’ without the ‘Dolls.’”

Bachar responded simply when sharing the video, writing, “Luv you.”

The Pussycat Dolls originally disbanded in 2010 after years of chart success. At the time, Kimberly Wyatt explained that she felt she was “unable to grow creatively” within the group.

In the years that followed, Nicole Scherzinger pursued a solo music career, while other members explored individual projects.

The group briefly reunited in 2019 as a five-member lineup, notably without Melody Thornton, and released the single “React.”

Plans were made for a reunion tour in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic ultimately forced those shows to be cancelled.

Tour Plans Move Forward Despite Ongoing Tension

Despite the public backlash from former members, the trio’s reunion is moving ahead as planned.

Speculation about a comeback had already been circulating after Scherzinger, Roberts, and Wyatt were seen enjoying a night out together at Gaia, an upscale restaurant in London’s Mayfair district.

Now that the reunion has been officially confirmed, with pre-sale tickets for the upcoming tour available starting Wednesday, March 18. General ticket sales will open on Friday, March 20.

While fans celebrate the return of the pop group, the behind-the-scenes tension suggests the Pussycat Dolls’ story is far from over.
