The Los Angeles Rams are hoping to get the talented duo of Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett together soon.
Garrett landed on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery following the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Donald didn’t play in Week 1 as he was ramping back up after coming out of retirement, so the duo has yet to play together.
When will Myles Garrett return?
Going into Week 5, Garrett’s four-game minimum absence is set to come to an end soon, although he could be out longer. Here’s what head coach Sean McVay said about Garrett’s recovery, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.
“I know he’s making really good progress. We haven’t talked specifics like that,” McVay said.
The Rams coach added that he and Reggie Scott, who is in charge of the team’s sports medicine department, will monitor Garrett this week to see what the timeline could look like. And McVay said that they will “probably be better equipped to give you some clarity about that on Thursday.”
The Rams are 2-2 and face Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Monday night at SoFi Stadium in a huge showdown. While Garrett isn’t going to return yet, the encouraging news for L.A. is that he is making progress.
