    Re: “Rick Steves buys ‘the most beautiful Christmas’ gift for homeless folks in Lynnwood” (Dec. 25, A1):

    Yay to author and TV host Rick Steves! Buying that building so the Lynnwood Hygiene Center could stay in operation is a truly noble thing to do. I liked his comment that there is little value in leaving money sitting in the bank. It is better to liberate that money and put it to work, and he did it in spades.

    My compliments to him.
