Sabrina Carpenter ‘Arrests’ Millie Bobby Brown At Her Concert

Before launching into her hit song “Juno,” Carpenter playfully singles out someone from the audience to “arrest” for being too attractive. She hands them a pair of fuzzy handcuffs, leaving the crowd in cheers.

During her concert in Atlanta, Georgia, Sabrina Carpenter surprised the crowd by choosing none other than “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown to receive the fuzzy handcuffs.

“I’m really distracted right now because I see this gorgeous girl,” the “Please Please Please” singer told her backup dancers before the cameras showed the “Stranger Things” star on the jumbotron. “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up. Who are you? What is your name?”

Much to the excitement of the cheering crowd, who began enthusiastically shouting Millie’s name, Carpenter playfully said, “I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before, but stranger things have happened.”

During the choreographed segment, Carpenter’s sparkly yellow skirt “unexpectedly” slipped off to reveal a shorter outfit underneath. “It’s so unfortunate we have to arrest you because you’re so beautiful, that sucks,” Carpenter teased. “She said ‘please arrest me?’ I don’t know what to do and also, like, now I just feel like my clothes are embarrassed.”

In a humorous moment, she exclaimed, “Now I just feel like my clothes are embarrassed. What have you done to me? Oh my god, not my skirt falling off in front of so many people!”

Carpenter then handed some fuzzy pink handcuffs to Millie as the jumbotron read, “You’re under arrest for being too hot.”

While she has previously called out friends like Paloma Sandoval and Whitney Peak, featuring Millie Bobby Brown on the jumbotron marked one of the first times she showcased a celebrity in this playful context.

Millie Bobby Brown wasn’t the only celebrity to grace Carpenter’s concerts; her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, was recently seen at her shows in Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 19, and in Charlottesville, Virginia, the following day.

She even made a public statement about their relationship, playfully acknowledging her rumored boyfriend while performing “Juno.” “I hear you knocking, Barry, come on up,” she sang, altering the original line, “I hear you knocking, baby, come on up.”

Fans in the audience caught a delightful moment of Keoghan fanning himself as he watched Carpenter deliver her performance of “Bed Chem” during the concert in Charlottesville.

“I got to see my wife perform in Chi Town last night and I cried of course, she’s just the shortest and sweetest pop star I’ve ever seen,” she wrote. “I might let her make me ‘Juno,'” she said, referencing Carpenter’s album title, “Short n’ Sweet,” and song “Juno.”

She attended the concert with her four nieces as she sported a stylish pink ensemble, which included a mini skirt, a baseball cap, and a shirt emblazoned with the word “camaraderie”—a nod to Carpenter’s song “Bed Chem.”

In a cover story interview with TIME for the TIME100 Next, the 25-year-old pop star discussed how embracing her sexuality in her work has led to some of the same vilification that Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have faced over the years.

When asked if she experiences similar commentary, Carpenter responded, “No, I definitely get that as well.”

“Someone told me this, whenever I would get upset or feel like I’m the only one getting criticized for something other people are able to do seemingly so freely: I’m the one that’s seeing all the negative sh-t about myself,” she added. “My friends don’t see that.”

“Femininity is something that I’ve always embraced and if right now that means corsets and garter belts and fuzzy robes or whatever the f-ck, then that’s what that means,” she continued.
