Scottie Scheffler is on such a dominant run that even fellow sports legends like LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes are in awe.
Scheffler won the BMW Championship on Sunday at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. The win was his fifth of the year, all of which have come in Scheffler’s last 10 tournaments. Scheffler has finished no worse than eighth in any event in which he has played since March.
While Scheffler has been known to suck the drama out of a tournament by blowing away the field, that was not the case in the final round of the BMW Championship. He had a one-shot lead over Robert MacIntyre and appeared to be in a bit of trouble after missing the green with his tee shot at the 17th hole.
What could have been a bogey and a dropped shot turned into one of the best shots of the year, as Scheffler chipped in for birdie from more than 80 feet out.
