Sophie Turner Defends Her Partying Lifestyle As Mom Of Two

Sophie Turner refuses to be shamed for her parenting style. She recently clapped back at a fan who criticized her on social media. 

It’s been less than a year since the English actress went through a widely publicized divorce from American singer Joe Jonas. 

Turner initially struggled with the divorce but has seemed to find a common ground with Jonas as the two co-parent their daughters. 

Turner recently enjoyed a fun night out with a friend at a Liam Gallagher concert. She posted several pictures and videos from her outing on Instagram, writing, “Bucket hats & beers… That’ll do me.”

While the actress seemed to have had the time of her life, one critic in particular didn’t deem the outing as parent-appropriate. The critic commented under the post, “lmfao I think she has forgotten that she has two kids.” 

Not having it, Turner replied, “Ah, I’m so sorry, sometimes I forget some people can’t think for themselves. So… Get this… There’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day,” she added. 

The “Game of Thrones” star has two daughters, four-year-old Willa and two-year-old Delphine, with her ex-husband, Jonas. The duo was together for five years before finalizing their divorce in 2024.  

Although Jonas and Turner are no longer romantically linked, the former has made it clear that he has no issues with his ex-wife’s parenting style and has called her an “incredible mom.” 

In May, The Blast reported that Jonas opened up about co-parenting with his ex-wife, calling it “really beautiful.” He also shared that he wants his daughters to be bold and confident, and having a mother like Turner certainly helped. 

“Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true. As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them,” the “Jonas Brothers” star said. 

Although Turner and Jonas are in a good place in their co-parenting journey, the divorce took a toll on the actress. 

In October 2024, the Emmy Award nominee reflected on the heartbreaking split, saying, “We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.” 

Earlier that year, she also spoke about the early days of her breakup, tagging them as the “worst days” of her life. She revealed that calling it quits with the 35-year-old pop star made her feel like her life was on pause. 

Now, the former couple is in a better place in their platonic relationship with each other. The Blast confirmed that they were spotted out in public together back in June.

The appearance sent fans into a frenzy as it signified that the duo was finally moving past their ugly split. 

A fan shared a video of the couple sitting down and casually chatting in New York. Although their backs were turned away, they appeared to be relaxed, with no signs of tension between them.
