An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect involved in stealing hard drives containing unreleased music by Beyoncé and several other items, while the artist was in Atlanta during a leg of her Cowboy Carter tour.

In a July 14 news release, the Atlanta Police Department confirmed they secured the arrest warrant for the unnamed suspect, stemming from the July 8 theft.

Just two days before the singer’s first performance at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, items including thumb drives, laptops, headphones, and luxury clothing and accessories were stolen from a rental car used by Beyoncé’s choreographer and one of her dancers.

According to an incident report from the police department’s Larceny From Auto Unit, choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue alerted authorities that the back window of their black Jeep Wagoneer had been damaged and two suitcases stolen.

The two were dining at a restaurant near the stadium, and had parked the rental car in a public garage. The theft occurred there.

Grant told authorities he was carrying “sensitive information” for the singer, specifically the hard drives with watermarked and unreleased music, along with plans for video content and past and future set lists for her show.

“They have my computers and it’s really, really important information in there,” one of the individuals told a 911 operator in a recording released by police.

“I work with someone who’s, like, of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”

Investigators dusted the vehicle for fingerprints and were able to identify “two very light prints.” They also have surveillance footage that captured the theft.

The police report lists a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra as possibly the suspect’s vehicle.

In response to the incident, Atlanta PD issued a reminder to always remove valuables from cars, pointing to its Clean Car Campaign, which aims to reduce vehicle-related crimes.

“It only takes seconds for a thief to spot valuables and break in,” the department noted. “Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car. Don’t give criminals an easy win.”

Beyoncé kicked off her U.S. and European all-stadium tour in April in support of her eighth Grammy-award winning studio album, “Cowboy Carter.”

The final show of the tour is on July 26 in Las Vegas.
