Re: “Why Microsoft just signed a deal for green cement” (May 22, Business):

This Bloomberg article reported that Microsoft will contract with a low-carbon cement producer for future construction projects, helping Microsoft lessen its carbon footprint.

As AI development accelerates, so does the demand for massive data centers, bringing deep environmental costs. Low-carbon cement isn’t the only solution, but it can help tech companies make good on their sustainability commitments.

With funding for sustainability projects likely to be cut significantly in the upcoming reconciliation bill, it’s essential for major companies like Microsoft to lead the way. Supporting innovations like “green cement” isn’t just good PR, it’s a necessary tool for fighting climate change.
