Taylor Swift Ghosts Blake Lively’s Attempts To Fix Their Friendship

Blake Lively is reportedly pulling out all the stops to reconnect with longtime friend Taylor Swift, but the pop superstar isn’t picking up.

Sources say Lively has been trying to reach out in an attempt to mend their fractured friendship, but Swift has remained silent, leaving Lively effectively ghosted.

The rift stems from Lively’s legal battle with “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni, which unexpectedly dragged the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker into the courtroom drama.

Lively and Swift’s friendship, once the envy of many, has hit a wall.

Recently, an insider spoke to the Daily Mail about the duo’s bond and how the actress has been making efforts to fix their broken relationship.

“Even though Taylor has cut ties with her, Blake hasn’t with Taylor,” the source told the publication.

They noted that the friendship still meant a lot to Lively and she had made multiple attempts to reach out to the music icon via “texts, voicemails and emails,” begging to mend things.

Unfortunately, it appears that Swift has moved on as the Hollywood star’s attempt at reconciliation has gone unanswered.

“Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas. She’s ignored all her groveling excuses. The missives explain there must be some misunderstanding on Taylor’s part and that she would never do anything to harm their ten years of closeness and personal secrets,” the insider explained.

While the source claimed that tension still existed between the ladies, another insider told PEOPLE Magazine that Lively and Swift had made progress in mending their ties.

According to them, the pair was trying to get back on “good terms,” though “their friendship isn’t the same as before.”

The insider admitted that the former friends weren’t close anymore and hadn’t been spending as much time with each other as they did in the past.

Nevertheless, they expressed hope that things would be fine, but it would take some time.

“Taylor is working to trust Blake again, but it will take some time,” the source shared.

Lively and Swift’s bond dates back to 2015. Their friendship began after the 37-year-old shared a picture from a L’Oréal campaign that cheekily referenced the 35-year-old’s “Bad Blood” music video in the caption.

Although fans saw the caption as a shade at Swift, Lively quickly cleared the air, noting that she was a big fan of the singer.

Following the post, the superstars met up in Australia for a fun-filled day out, marking the start of a decade-long friendship.

In the years that followed, Lively and Swift grew closer. They showcased their tight bond on social media, sharing photos, attending each other’s parties, and supporting each other at various significant occasions.

The pop star even featured Lively’s kids in her music while the mom of four took her children, James and Inez, to the Eras Tour in 2023.

Sadly, their friendship halted in January 2024 after Swift’s name was mentioned in a $400 million lawsuit filed by Baldoni against Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

In the documents, the 41-year-old claimed that during an argument on the set of “It Ends With Us,” Lively threatened him with Swift’s influence to assert control over the movie.

According to Baldoni, after a meeting about script revisions, the “Gossip Girl” star described the Grammy Award winner and Reynolds as her “dragons” who “protect” her in battle.
