Teddi Mellencamp Is ‘Grateful’ As She Gives Post-Surgery Update

Teddi Mellencamp finally gave her concerned fans an update following her surgery after revealing earlier this month that multiple tumors were found in her brain.

Teddi’s fans had been waiting for an update from her after the surgery but had to do with those provided by her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, and her sister, Justice Mellencamp.

Teddi’s update came a day after she made her first post since her surgery, celebrating her daughter Dove’s 5th birthday.

On Wednesday, the reality television star posted an update on her Instagram page, expressing gratitude to those who made her recovery successful.

In addition to the post, she shared two images, including one showing her on her hospital bed and another showing a scan of her brain post-surgery.

Her post was accompanied by a message that read, “I am so grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctors, and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum also wrote, “In full transparency, more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won.”

Teddi continued, “The laughter, support, and patience of my kids, my family, and my closest friends is one gift with which words cannot properly express my gratitude.”

She concluded, “As I move on to the next steps in my treatment, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for the outpouring of love and prayers. I see them, and they’re definitely helping me stay strong.”

Teddi received a great outpouring of love and support from her friends and fans after her long-awaited post.

“The Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin wrote, “You got this, Teddi! Attitude goes very far in recovery.”

Entertainment reporter Adrianna Costa wrote, “Think of you all the time. You have the most amazing support system and a truly magical family. All prayers for you, Mama. We love you x.”

Teddi’s sister, Justice, commented with several flexed biceps and red heart emojis before adding, “Love you so much!!”

Actress Jana Kramer wrote, “Sending all the love and prayers and strength your way,” while “The Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Robyn Dixon added, “You got this, Teddi!!!”

A fan wrote, “Sending love and healing light your way- you got this,” while another added, “We are praying for you daily.”

Teddi’s surgery update was her second Instagram post since undergoing surgery to remove the multiple tumors found in her brain.

Like her mom, Dove has endured some health issues since her birth, causing Teddi to refer to her as her miracle baby.

In the post, Teddi shared a photo montage of her and Dove’s beautiful moments and captioned it, “Happy birthday to my miracle baby. Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since you made our lives better and brighter.”

She concluded, “But no matter how grown you get, you’ll always be My Baby Dovey.”

Teddi Mellencamp’s post-surgery update is coming over two weeks after she announced multiple tumors were found in her brain.

On February 12, she shared a message to her fans on Instagram, writing, “For the last several weeks, I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday, the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.”

Teddi added, “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months. Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today – The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

She also wrote, “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health.”

Teddi concluded, “Thank you to everybody who has reached out and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”

With no update forthcoming from Teddi Mellencamp following her brain surgery, her estranged husband, Arroyave, and sister, Justice, provided updates about her recovery to fans.

Arroyave shared an update via Instagram Stories, writing, “So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well.”

He added, “That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know that she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”

She wrote, “Watching a loved one suffer is horrific. I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out, & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready.”

Justice concluded, “She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today, but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen, and I’m grateful for them! Your prayers are everything. Thank you.”
