Teddi Mellencamp’s Fans Call Her Out For ‘Avoidance’

The drama surrounding Teddi Mellencamp‘s alleged adultery continues, with fans calling her out for failing to be responsible for her actions.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star faced immense backlash on social media after sharing a post about taking “accountability.” However, her words did not resonate with many, who accused her of avoiding the issue.

Teddi Mellencamp filed for divorce from her longtime spouse, Edwin Arroyave, earlier this month. She claimed she announced the decision to protect her family from “speculations and rumors,” but sources alleged that she had an affair with her horse trainer.

Mellencamp recently addressed the adultery rumors on Instagram, sharing a video of herself working out. The clip was set to Christina Aguilera’s “Fighter” alongside a lengthy overlay message about the entertainer’s feelings.

“The only person who can change your life is you. We have 2 options, pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness,” Mellencamp began, adding:

“I have cried and mourned. I have taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong.. Now, I have given myself permission to grow and thrive.”

“I have decided to not pander to the media and tell my side because in the big scheme of things.Clickbait means nothing and of course 3 sides to every story,” Mellencamp declared. She concluded she was an “adult” who had addressed the matter with her “full chest.”

The post generated hundreds of negative reactions from fans, many disappointed by Mellencamp’s message. They slammed her for faking “accountability” while refusing to address her alleged affair directly.

“No, this is called avoidance! You spend every day talking about everyone else’s business, and now, when it is up to you to be honest, you have no accountability of your own!” an Instagram user declared.

“Saying there’s ‘3 sides to the story’ is NOT taking accountability,” a fellow displeased fan pointed out. A third echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Why don’t you talk about on your own Podcast??? You talk about everyone else’s life that you know nothing about!”

The criticism against Mellencamp continued with someone wondering, “Did I miss the part where she took accountability?” Another bashed the media personality, noting:

“Run a podcast about Tea… won’t spill your own Tea. Pot calling kettle black?!”

Following news of Mellencamp’s alleged affair with her horse trainer, The Blast covered sources’ claims about her estranged husband, Arroyave. They seemingly defended the entertainer’s infidelity by accusing her soon-to-be ex of cheating first.

The insiders claimed Arroyave had cheated on Mellencamp with a woman named “Missy.” One source described the lady as the podcaster’s “best friend,” the other noted the women “maybe interacted four times at most.”

Arroyave and Missy’s extramarital affair allegedly occurred between 2015 and 2016, with one informant claiming it lasted “at least a year.” Meanwhile, the other noted it was closer to “six months.” Mellencamp reportedly discovered the pair’s relationship during the audition process for “RHOB” in 2016.

One of the sources painted Arroyave as a repeat offender, claiming he once told Mellencamp that he didn’t remember how many women he had an affair with. However, in the entertainer’s case, she allegedly cheated with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.

The duo allegedly had a liaison in Florida while Schroeder’s wife, Karli Postel, was delivering his child in California. The trainer’s spouse eventually discovered their affair and confronted Mellencamp, who proposed a deal.

Mellencamp reportedly assured Postel she would end the affair as long as she didn’t tell Arroyave. However, the scorned wife told Arroyave about the affair months later after Mellencamp betrayed her by continuing the relationship with Schroeder.

Weeks earlier, The Blast reported that “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards had weighed in on her pal’s ongoing divorce from Arroyave. Like her friend, the TV personality filed to end her marriage to her longtime husband, Mauricio Umansky. 

“Obviously, it’s sad no matter what … And unfortunately, I can give some advice for living through this in the public eye,” Richards said about Mellencamp’s situation. She implored her pal not to handle the split by herself, saying:

“She can lean on me and show up at my door anytime she wants, no matter what time of night it is. She’s watched me go through this, and she knows.”
