Teddi Mellencamp’s New Romance Mystery Reportedly Solved

The duo killed two birds with one stone by doing a complete identity reveal and sending a strong message to the world about the lengths they go to support each other in their relationship.

Teddi Mellencamp’s new relationship debut as she navigates her ongoing split from ex Edwin Arroyave and also looks forward to full recovery from her stage 4 cancer battle.

Mellencamp and her partner, now identified as popular TV producer Ricci Rea, were spotted at the airport preparing to head out on a family trip.

Rea reportedly joined Mellencamp’s kids in finding their way through the packed airport as Mellencamp opted to ride out the journey in a wheelchair. This is reportedly Rea’s first sighting with the Bravo alum’s children.

Mellencamp’s boyfriend holds a rich resume of producing shows for Apple TV+ and Fox. He previously worked as a Line Producer at Done + Dusted agency and currently holds the title of Senior Producer at Dorothy, a boutique creative agency.

Per The Daily Mail, Rea reportedly has nearly two decades of experience in the production industry. His expertise includes overseeing “the production of cross-category unscripted TV, live broadcasts, upfront presentations, red carpet premieres, and press junkets.”

Back in January, the former reality star got candid about her romantic life since separating from her ex, Arroyave. As shared by The Blast, she explained on a podcast that she had indeed gone on some dates since starting life as a single woman.

She began by signing up on the dating app Hinge, but she continued to attract younger guys. According to her:

“Why are only 28-year-olds reaching out to me? Like why?’ And then I realized it’s because I had my age down too low. I don’t need to be dating someone 28 years old. I mean, they’re hot, but I don’t need it.”

The TV star finally found someone who complimented her and, most importantly, had a familiar face. She recalled telling herself to wait for a few days and see how things went with her newfound admirer.

While Mellencamp did not disclose her secret admirer’s identity, she was, however, spotted getting cozy with her mystery boyfriend last month.

The 44-year-old touched on her ongoing divorce during an interview in February, where she praised him for playing an active role during her earliest struggles with her diagnosis.

Mellencamp then reflected on the last days of their marriage, which broke down due to her affair with horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. She admitted that despite things being intense and “hot” when they first met, other people did not leave the picture.

She detailed that she continued patching things up, hoping that things would get better until she grew tired of putting in any effort. “Probably at the point in time when Edwin was ready to start working on it and really change, I probably stopped,” Mellencamp shared.

The Bravo alum admitted that she never expressed how she truly felt to her ex, and she carried severe “resentment or animosity or fear of ever being open again” within her, which just ruined everything.

On his part, Arroyave has taken a more assertive approach towards walking away from his marriage to the reality star for good. In May, The Blast reported that he tendered his financial records to the court to fast-track the process.

The documents reportedly included his income records, expenses, a list of assets, debts, community property, and separate property. He also pushed back on the official date of their separation and requested that the court enforce their existing prenuptial agreement.

The reality star’s ex requested that their incomes and assets, from all sources, remain separate properties, except where the terms state otherwise.

Mellencamp, in her filing, requested primary legal and physical custody of their four kids with an offer for her ex-husband to visit the kids regularly. She also asked that the court grant her spousal support and block Arroyave from demanding any from her.
