The Los Angeles Chargers welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to SoFi Field for ‘Monday Night Football,’ in a game with playoff implications for both teams, and will be happy to get a boost to their backfield with the return of Omarion Hampton.
Hampton, who the Chargers drafted in the first round of the 2025 draft out of North Carolina, rushed for 314 yards and two touchdowns on 66 carries in the first five games of the season. After taking over the backfield from an injured Najee Harris in Week 3, Hampton combined for 198 yards in two contests before going down with a fractured ankle in Week 5. With the Chargers chasing the Broncos in the AFC West and taking on the defending Super Bowl champions, Hampton’s return is very timely for Los Angeles.
