Heading into Week 8, Baltimore Ravens fans were excited for the return of Lamar Jackson to the field after missing almost a month with a hamstring injury. Now, they may have the most dire quarterback situation in the NFL after Jackson injured his thumb on his very first play back before Snoop Huntley went down with a turf toe injury.
While head coach Jesse Minter will roll with undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano as his starter for ‘Thursday Night Football,’ against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they’ve brought in reinforcements for the rest of the year by trading for Jacoby Brissett with neither Jackson nor Huntley expected back this season.
Brissett started the first eight games of the season for the Arizona Cardinals before getting benched in the third quarter of their win over Dallas and demoted to QB3 this behind Gardner Minshew and Carson Beck during the week.
With the Ravens at the bottom of the AFC North but just trailing the first-place Steelers by two wins, Minter will hope Brissett can help him salvage his first season as a head coach.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Brissett has well-earned his reputation as a journeyman, never reaching 3,500-passing-yards or 25 touchdowns in a season. But he is the unlikely record-holder for the most completions in a single NFL game, completing 47 in a 41-22 loss to San Francisco last season. With that being said, can you name the NFL quarterbacks to complete the most passes in one game?
Good luck!
