The Edmonton Oilers had a 3-1 lead over the Dallas Stars on the road in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Western Conference Finals. But the Star scored on three consecutive Power Plays to start the final period of the game to take a 4-3 lead.
Stars stalwart center Tyler Seguin then scored his second goal and third point of the night to make it 5-3 and an Esa Lindell empty-netter capped off the five-goal third period and Game 1 victory for Dallas as they hope to avenge last season’s Conference Finals loss to the Oilers.
