Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has been out since Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season with a brutal ankle injury he suffered at the end of a loss to the New Orleans Saints. While Godwin is expected to be out until possibly October, the Bucs have decided his recovery is going well enough to remove him from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. This allows the veteran heading into his ninth NFL season to return to practice with the team before Week 4, even if he isn’t game ready yet.
Godwin was on the way to yet another 1,000-yard season before his injury, catching 50 passes for 576 yards and five touchdowns.
